Works like a charm. I've only used it as a tripod to shoot videos of baseball games, but it is a breeze to set up, take down and doesn't weigh me down.

That being said, sometimes I worry that it may be to lightweight that it may blow over in a heavy gust of wind, but nothing happened yet.

I frankly don't know how they made this for $20. There is A LOT of aluminum in this thing. It's very ridged, which is good for tripod. The base is small so it's not super sturdy but I knew that getting into this. This problem is easily remedied with the included Bluetooth remote camera button. It has infinite adjust-ability, I'm absolutely thrilled with my $20. I bought it to start filming a silly internet show and I'm considering buying 2 or 3 more just for an extra camera and some microphone stands.

It's heavy, comes with a carrying case, has a bluetooth camera button to pair with your phone or camera. Material alone, there is a significant amount of aluminum in this thing. There are no plastic hinges. The brackets are plastic but also very strong and ridged. Yeah, there are other stands out there but I cannot say enough good things about this stand for $20. I've seen $50-60 stands that were much lower quality than this.

No, this will not hold your DLSR, but if you are looking for a mic stand or something cheap to hold a phone this is your guy.

The tripod was exactly what I needed until it broke. I only got 3 months of use out of it.

UPDATE:
The seller of this tri-pod read my review and messaged me offering a full refund. I will be purchasing a second unit. Now that I know that the bottom peice is susceptible to breaking I will make sure not to put pressure on it. The tri-pod is exactly what I need, and for the price, it is hard to beat.

Missing a part.

After trial and error, I assembled the tripod and placed my phone in the holder. The tripod is sturdy but missing a part. I emailed the address on the insert and explained which part was missing. According to the insert, if there are any issues, all one needs to do is email the company and I will get a reply. Nope, that is not the case. Do not expect help. I spent too much time putting it together to take it apart, repack, and return it. Would I buy it again? Yes. I like the way the tripod holds the phone tightly. The tripod can be adjusted to varying heights. The remote works with my phone so I can take photos and videos remotely. It works. One last note is that the remote directions are printed super TINY. The abbreviated BL in the directions stands for Bluetooth. I think they were conserving ink and the directions are cryptic. The part I was missing I replaced with a screw.
