The PoE extender is powered by PoE Switch/PoE NVR/PoE Injector that comply with IEEE 802.3af/at Standards. It extends a single PoE/PoE+ network connection up to an additional 100m (328 ft.) for a remote PoE or PoE+ device.

The PoE extender also supports 3 levels cascade deployment, the transmission distance up to 1,000ft(300m).

    We run a number of different PoE cameras around the home and use this little MokerLink 4 port PoE extender to share a long Cat8 ethernet cable across the attic to service two POE cams from our main PoE switch.It works just fine, plus and play, and negates the need for another standard gigabit switch and power supply in a hard-to-reach location -- or running redundant cables across the space. The main switch supplies 30 watts to each port and that seems to be plenty for these two cams, even with lights on at night. We didn't use the DIN rail mount, but that's a handy feature for securing the unit.It's wonderful when you can find a simple, well designed and well built product to fulfill a need so easily and efficiently. A good value.

Connected a single POE network cable in, and used the 3 out ports for a Ubiquiti Access Point, a POE powered VOIP phone, and a regular network connection to the desktop. All devices work perfectly.     I invested in a PoE managed switch for my home network, so having these PoE switches saves me from needing an additional power source near where I need a switch for a run, whether the devices require PoE or not it works great. Speedtests run about in-line with other powered switches I have and haven’t noticed any connectivity issues. Good value. I plan to buy an outdoor version for harsher conditions outside the interior walls.

    These extenders are very easy to install. You simply bring in PoE power from a PoE switch, a PoE injector, or another PoE extender. You can extend up to three hops with this one. Keep in mind, at every hop along the way, you lose some power capacity in watts along the way. The previous unit powers the next unit, which then powers the next unit down the line. So it is wise to understand how much power you might want to be drawing at the end of the hops, and also the hops along the way. Let's say for example, that you want to have some other PoE devices along the way, before the end of the cable, then the wattage of those devices need to be taken into account for the total wattage needed, and you also need to understand that you don't want to go over any of the total wattage of any of the devices, because whatever device is drawing the maximum wattage or more, would most likely be the first failure in the chain link.

    Let's say you have an access point and an IP camera you want to install at the end of a run of three hops. And lets say each hop drops 6 watts. So at the end of three hops, instead of having 30 watts available, you really only have 12 watts available for a low wattage IP camera and an AP. And as an example, a UniFi AP AC Pro has a max power of 9 watts, and you might have a camera on the low end that is 4 watts. That is slightly over the max power of 12 watts available, but would more than likely work, if you keep the power down slightly on the AP for example. And that is typically the max power, but is seldom hitting that 9 watts max for an Access Point.

    So, I've done a test hop of two of these devices with no problems, using just one IP camera. But I do plan on adding an Access Point near the end of the line.

    This PoE extender does exactly what you need to. I installed this in our crawl space under the house for security cameras and it works great and saved me from having to run multiple very long cables. This way I was able to run one main cable from the switch then much shorter cables to each of the cameras.

    This is actually a POE gigabit switch! This makes (in my eyes) better than just an extender. Combining those you can also overcome the ethernet maximum length. Great little device.

    I mounted mine with the DIN rail, but the many installation options makes it so easy to install. I'm looking forward to get more when my network grows larger.

    I got this extender and from another brand, this one works perfectly fine as well. They are very easy to install, simply plug and connect. You may need to pre-configured on your main switch if you want to assign a fixed IP device. We tested this by powering 2 raspbery pi with a hat + camera.
