Spent some time comparing products to supplement our monitored security system and decided on these. Shipping was fast, price great, packaged well. The unit itself is a hard plastic molded material, at first it seemed a little lightweight but after starting it and trying out , it works like a powerhouse. The screws that came with the magnet part weren't very strong so we used our own. We also used a little of the stick tape to secure the alarm unit a little better than just using one screw to hang on.
It was easy to install batteries, there is a learn button to enter code for first time, and choice of alarm or chime, the chime sounds like a loud doorbell, can understand it would be a great thing for tracking if kids come and go or even elders. The alarm is loud and likely to scare the pants off someone, I mean real loud!
Overall we are very pleased to use and recommend.
