  • I loved the journey the couple are taken on and I cried tears of either sadness or joy with each page as we are taken on an emotional roller coaster ride.     In the Satan's Savage books, Hudson finds out that his best friend Adam is still alive and it happens while Violet is still pregnant. This book never had that and I think it is a huge missing piece. I waited the entire book to get to that , what should have been a great, happy and exciting point. It would have received a 5 Star rating if that wasn't omitted. What a shame!!!!

    I really enjoyed the conclusion to Violet and Hudson's story. The book was fast paced and I couldn't put it down. It was definitely an emotional journey with these characters and I was cheering for them the whole way through. I was so happy to see Violet find her way through her grief and learn about herself. KE Osborn is a powerful writer and helps the reader feel like they are right there with the characters. I highly recommend all of her books!

    K E has done it again. I can't believe she released these books so closely, but I am glad that she did. I did get a bit more emotional with this one, as well as have some trouble reading certain parts involving The Dogs. But it was still another great read from the fantastic K E Osborn.

    A Different Shade Of Violet? picks up right where The Violet Widow? left off. And let me tell you, book 2 is just as powerful as book 1 of this series.
    I read this book in 1 day because I seriously just could not put it down, it was that good!
    Sometimes in life, good people make bad decisions & Violet seems deemed to forever pay for her choices, regardless of why she made them in the 1st place.
    Hudson is stuck between a rock and a hard place in this one but Violet is determined not to give up on their relationship. You cant help but feel for both these two as the story progresses, there are just so many hurdles they need to get through and you cant help as a reader but wonder if it will be worth it to them.
    K E Osborn has brought these characters to life in a way that almost makes you want to wrap them up in cotton wool & take them home with you to protect them from the world. She has shown not just their strength but their vulnerabilities.
    When I read a book, that is one of the things I look for because it gives a reader reason to connect and relate to the characters. It is not an easy thing to do & not may writers know how to achieve it but K E Osborn has certainly done it & done it well with Violet & Hudson.
    I have loved reading about Violet & Hudson & I congratulate K E Osborn on writing this fantastic series & allowing us to experience their journey through her words!!

    So this book had me on an emotional rollercoaster from the start. I was in tears for parts and laughing out loud for others.

    I really enjoyed the first 70% but after that it seem to drag a bit and take forever to get to the ending. All the heart stopping bits happened in the first half and then took a bit to long to get to the finale.

    But it was good to see how things turned out

    I've had both of these books on my kindle since October but had forgotten I'd downloaded them I don't no how that happened, just simply overlooked them.
    Everything I've read by this author has been so good and these two books in (The Shattered Hearts Series) was just what I expected.... Fantastic.!
    I've read The Trust Me Trilogy, Just Good Friends and I still have Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree to read.
    By the time you've read the first book The Violet Widow? You are completely hooked, I found myself really taking my time absorbing every little detail, there's plenty of sad and heartbreaking moments and you can't help but wonder how and what you would have done if you were in the awful situation that Violet found herself in and then of course the inevitable happens and it ends on a cliff hanger so you are desperate to read A Different Shade Of Violet.
    Now the 2nd book of course was brilliant and it felt like I had been reading for ages but when I looked it was only at about 14%, it was a big read and one that you can't read quick and again that's because you simply need to take it all in, every page was full of so much detail and brilliantly told, there were times when I felt quite anxious because Violet didn't want everyone knowing her past, I was expecting Cassie to cause a lot more trouble but thankfully that didn't happen, As for Hudson.. apart from a little blip he was an absolute darling and anyone that is a fan of K E Osborn will apeciate this series.!

    Wow what an ending! I absolutely loved it so many twist and turns. Great in depth story taking you into a lots of trouble for the main characters.

    There's trouble every way turn, can they every carry on after her true story is revealed.....no way! Your heart just breaks, you can't see a way through, then they get thrown together again!

    Her past has caught up with her and no way they have a future even though their hearts are in sync their heads say no. But then fate throws them in close proximity and lust takes over......both thinking well we might as well have one last time together?

    The another twist! Is she alone again? Is her life gonna be lived alone and miserable, just keeping things going no love for her again?

    This time the author has out done herself, to date this has been the most in depth emotional yet lusty book from K E Osborn, this is one hell of ride! Boy your sucked in and spit out but an amazing read, start to finish. She just getting better with every book she writes....so keep writing, I'm ready for the next!!

    The 2nd in the series you can just read this but for the full experience read the 1st book . This is the happy ending with a few twists and turns to story as in any book some parts great, good and not so good this book as them all but more great. In the story a family of men keep a secret from the wife andmother of the family sorry but could not even believe that they can keep the secret I have been married for 40 years and have 2 sons and they cannot keep a secret as they say "I just want to tell you but don't say anything please" but it is only fiction . Enjoy the book I certainly did
