So, I’m completely hooked on this series, and I was super excited to read about Bex and Chains story. And believe me, it’s everything I wanted and more.

I knew Chains’ story was going to be dark and mysterious, because of course, he is as well. I just had no idea how much he actually went though. He suffered such horrible things that no child should ever have too, and when he was sixteen, he was saved by his angel and her family. Now, he’s a part of the Chicago Defiance MC, but he still suffers from his past. There are mistakes he made that he wants to make right. Also, he is fighting his feelings for Bex, because he doesn’t want to lose his best friend and the only family he’s ever truly belonged too.

The day Bex met Chains her whole world changed in more ways than one. She has dedicated her life to saving him, which is why she became a doctor in the first place. Now, his past is back, and Bex is scared that he will get caught up in that world again. She is also fighting her feelings for a man she doesn’t think she can have.

This really was an amazing story. I loved the background between these two, and to me, it’s like a slow burn, but oh so worth the wait. I also adored best friends to lovers, and that’s exactly what these two were for each other. I fell in love from the beginning and was completely hooked. Now, I can’t wait for the next book!

The raw feelings starting this story caused my mind to continually return to them, so the fact one lost soul overcame all of the atrocities made me happy in the end. This was more than an HEA, it was healing for Chains.
This best friends/adopted brother to lovers trope takes the reader through all the trials and tribulations one would expect but it’s so much more. Osborn sets it all inside the confines of an MC and that just adds to the angst.
Sit back and enjoy the ride. Doc certainly does.

They knew they fell in love for a long time. It took Chains acceptance to change his life. Rebecca takes care of the bikers at The Chicago Defiance MC Club when the bikers need her for their injured. I hope K E Osborn continues write series books never end to it LOL!!!

There's nothing like a good MC to get me going. It's one of my favorite genres and I couldn't wait to see what Chains and his club had going on.

The book starts like normal, we meet Chains, his brothers and of course, the love of his life. They shouldn't be together, however can't help the pull. What made this story different, was that Chains really had two loves. One in his life now and one he left long ago.

That is where my problem lied. The one left long ago. I wanted to sympathize with Chains, see his side of things, but after that many years it was hard to. He was willing to not necessarily ruin, but upset his life for something that was fine for years. One of those, leave well enough alone situations. I wasn't connecting with this story line, which made it hard for me to appreciate it.

The book was well written, but not a good fit. It is the fifth in the series and I felt a little out of sync every so often not knowing all of the backstories.

This book deserves to be in high places, and get all the five stars in the market.

Chains broke my heart in tinny millions of pieces, such a strong man with a terrible childhood, but thanks to Bex parents he could have some love.

There are millions of people who have trauma like him who deserves love and understanding, but this is not a reality, and in Chains case, he is lucky to have friends like brothers on his MC, brotherhood is everything.

Bex & Chains love story is a slow burn, they are foster brother and sister, should be wrong right? Wrong, many years of love, burning on both side and one day this chemistry will explode in the best way.

They fight for each other and when Chain’s past comes to hunt him and gets Bex on the crossfire, he became more of death machine ready to destroy anything and anyone to save the love of his life.

This book was beautifully written in every aspect, and I couldn’t be happier for the opportunity to read it.

I’m not even sure where to begin.
In the last book I got such a giddy feeling when I read the epilogue and I couldn’t wait to dive into their story.
I loved both Chains and Bex in the previous books they had such a good relationship. My heart hurt so much for Chains, I had to stop and collect myself a few times and then other times i had WTF moments. Such a beautiful story I really enjoyed it.
