Mind blown. Saved me $2k on a bumper repair

Mind blown. Saved me $2k on a bumper repair
I bought this months ago on sale for $20.00. It was a steal and I can't believe I didn't buy one sooner or that it sat unused for 4 months. I used it 2 nights ago to repair the support on the front bumper for my Audi A4. It had ripped off and the bumper would no longer attach. I reinforced with mesh and melted it into the backside of the bumper. I then used some of the included material to add additional coverage/smooth things out. It was kind of a tricky angle to work in. I didn't think I was pressing hard but the tip bent significantly but did not break. I burned my thumb but in no time at all, the bumper was repaired. It is now stronger than it was to start. Honestly, my mind is blown. I'm pretty handy but I've never had something turn out so good on a first attempt. I had such low expectations that I didn't take before pictures. The tip will need to be replaced soon so if you were looking to use on the regular, you might need something designed a better time or the tip damage could be user error. For a one time or 2x use, this can save a bundle. A new bumper with paint and install would have easily been $2000!

Great to repair cracks on your splash guards. This is a great alternative to buying the entire splash guard , and replacing them. I have done this before, and it takes quite a bit of time to complete. The welding result is solid and strong. The mesh included helped reinforce areas that needed a lot of strength. Just make sure you work in a well ventilated area. Do no let the iron stay in one point too long or it will melt everything around it very quickly. the result may look a bit messy, but I completely repaired cracks in my splash guard caused from previous floods. This parts are under the car, so it is more for function than form.
