I was looking for a short little cable for my camera and this one fit the bill. It's 8" long and powers my camera from a external battery. The right angle keeps the cord next to the camera rather than sticking straight out from the camera. Being USB-C 3.1 is a plus too. Good product to me.

It's a great little cable, it just didn't work for a very specific (but potentially common) use case.

I tried to use it to power a Sony FX30, using a fold-down Smallrig VMount Battery Plate and SmallRig VB99 Pro battery. The cable is great when the plate is up, but it is not long enough to allow the plate to go all the way down. Disconnecting / reconnecting the cable adds a step when opening / closing the FX30 viewscreen.

The other inefficiency issue is that it gets in the way of the VB99's internal charging port. Fortunately, this cable has a tall angled-connector, so a charging cable (or adapter) with a shallow angled-connector may still fit underneath.

I didn't want any extra length dangling from the connections so the length of this cable is enough to connect without extra cable length. It is fast and does the job well. Recommended.

took me FOREVER to figure this out, pulling my hair going crazy. I wipe and reinstall my MacBook and even factory reset my router to solve the wifi issue. but accidentally, I discover it was cause by the cable.
my MacBook Pro (Touch Bar) wifi would not connect to my router. but strangely would connect to a open/free xfinitywifi. I think the interference is affecting the 5ghz wifi, but not the 2.4? I do have the SSD drive mount to the back of the laptop lid. if I move the drive away as far as the cable lenght, the wifi works fine. I then tried another USB-C cable with the same length, it works fine with the same mounting place I had. the conclusion is this, the cable is not shielded to block interference. the cable works fine in other cases. so I'll give it 3 stars.

It was not easy to find a 10Gb/s capable USB-C cable that was nice and short. This one is perfect for a drive to be operated right beside a laptop, as long as the right angle connectors work. (Since USB-C is reversible, this is more flexible than it would be on USB-A cables). This is used to connect a drive to an iMac Pro that is adhered to the stand, and it's just long enough for this purpose with little slack.

In a quick test with an SSD, I got slightly faster speed with this cable than I did with the USB-C to A cable included with the drive enclosure I'm using, although I can't verify that this cable supports the full 10Gb/s.

The cable seems sturdy enough, although I haven't used it in a context that really tests its mettle (such as using it with a portable drive and a laptop on the go). It was a good price for what you get and (as is sometimes the case with Chinese vendors) includes a fairly pointless little cleaning cloth.

After purchasing a total of 4 different USB-C extension cables like this one, this is the ONLY one that actually output 4k @60Hz. All other cables advertised this as well, yet had various issues (black screen, 60Hz not available, and screen flickering). I suspect part of the issue is that they make some cables too long which doesn't follow proper specifications. This cable follows the actual length specifications. I connected it on through a Google Pixel Slate tablet (USB-C 3.1 Gen 2, NOT Thunderbolt), the other end connects to a Cable Matters multi-adapter hub which has a DisplayPort. The DisplayPort connects to my BenQ 4k @60Hz monitor. And everything actually works! FINALLY! Thank you for making a cable that ACTUALLY does what it's supposed to. Now please consider offering a more rugged version of this cable and a version that doesn't offer a 90 degree bend at the end. Regardless, I highly recommend this cable for this purpose and will be informing other companies and groups that have this issue.

I bought this for my home office setup to extend by USB-C hub away from my Surface Book 2 and cleanup the desk space. The external monitor hooked up through my USB-C hub constantly flickers and waves when connected through this cable. Removing the cable and hooking up the USB-C hub directly to the Surface Book 2 everything works no problem. I will be looking to return this and purchase a better quality extension.
