Deb Rahn is truly a new author with much to offer those who love something exciting and new. Once I got past figuring out the storyline and the characters, I couldn’t put the book down. It is filled with drama and excitement. I love to read a compelling book that isn’t filled with sex scenes, nasty language and off-color verbiage. This book has all the excitement without a single nasty word. It is a rich read that can be enjoyed by anyone who loves a new topic, romance and suspense. Whoever said, “You can’t judge a book by its cover,” was wrong in this case. The cover actually drew me to this book. I’m waiting in great anticipation for your next book.

The task seems a bit daunting. But over time, she comes to trust in her own abilities. Can she continue to strive forward even as questionable events take place?This book is enjoyable Christian fiction with a clear message on learning to trust God even in the midst of challenging circumstances. Faith is immersed through the storyline. No preaching is involved, so if a reader is looking for clean romance, this book would definitely qualify.Not surprisingly as based on the title, romance is another part of the storyline. Brynlee was content with simply being an architect. She was not striving after love, so that part surprised her. I will say that the romance moved a bit too quickly for me, but at least the two characters were spending quite a bit of time together. Plus it was clear that the relationship was going to continue to develop.At first, I was not sure that this book fit the suspense genre. Conflict, yes. Suspense, maybe? But by the end, I changed my mind. The author definitely provided many twists and turns near the end. And the book ended on a cliffhanger. I am glad that there will be additional books to follow.I really liked the fact that the author included long-term oceanic habitation designs as a part of her plot. I found these details fascinating. I did not realize such research was going on and actually being implemented.One other part did distract me, and that is that the book was too descriptive about fashion. I think it was important to include those details about the dress that was gifted to the main character (especially since it connected to the cover.) But at times, those fashion details bogged me down. I am not sure that all of them were necessary since the book's focus is on architectural design, not on fashion design.P.S. I think the cover is SO striking. I love the fact that the author noted that her son and granddaughter worked together to create it. I think it perfectly matches the book!Final rating: 4. 5 stars, rounded up to 5. I do look forward to reading the next book in the series. Glad I could read this book through Kindle Unlimited.
