It's kind of pricey. People are raving over this brand. I'd compare it to a Harley Davidson primary gasket except it has orange beading as well. Is it necessary? Probably not, but we usually don't want to go cheap and find out.
Replacing my rear differential cover, I really didn't want to wait for some gasket maker to set, so this was the way to go. Install the new, torque it to spec, and fill her up. No farting around.

Scrape off the old crusty RTV and replace with this perfect fitting reusable gasket. Be sure to check the alignment of this gasket before putting in screws as there is a right side up to it. Works great and no leaks in my 2012 f150 4x4 with locking diff.

Ran across the Lube Locker Gasket while looking for 1 for Our F 150.
