Jonathan Stroud wrote his first novel – Buried Fire – while working as an editor at Walker Books. Pros:-The cover art is beautiful and although I do like the Netflix art as well, I wanted the originally book art and glad I got that.-Everything SO FAR seems in order. Obviously with books they take some time to read and I probably won't be getting to these for a few months but when I do, if i notice anything, i will edit my review.CONS:-Came slightly damaged as seen in the photos. Looked to me as though this wasn't a packaging damage either which is annoying considering i'm paying for something new not damaged.-Pages have a strong factory smell. and by factory I just mean printing press or wherever books are made, it smelled like that place which isn't the best but i'm sure with age and dust it'll start to smell less awful.Personally I don't think this "collection set" should have cost me what it did considering the lack of even just a bit of texture to the book(how some books have titles you can feel), and the terrible smell. But otherwise, it's just fine and still a book series I love. So as long as some of the proceeds go to the author, that's all I really care about.

These books are the UK version without the stupid Netflix labels. (Also, screw Netflix for canceling the series)

The books are great, but they were just shrink wrapped and thrown in an Amazon box, so there are all kinds of slight damage to the books themselves. (Exterior of pages bent, corners of outside books bent, ink slightly scrapped off sides of spine, etc)

This paperback book set REALLY needs a box to surround the books for better protection, especially during shipping.

I really wish I could find the hardcover UK version set.
