I tried this red lip liner and overall, I’m happy with the color and its ability to outline my lips clearly. The red is vibrant and bold, which pairs perfectly with a variety of red lipsticks. It glides on smoothly without tugging, and I appreciate the precision it gives for creating sharp lines.
However, the staying power could be better. I noticed that after a few hours, the liner started to fade, especially around the edges of my lips. It also needed some touch-ups after eating or drinking. While it’s not a major issue for me, I was hoping for a little more longevity, especially for a bold color like red.
That said, the color payoff is great, and it’s easy to apply. I just recommend using it with a long-wear lipstick for a more lasting look. Overall, a solid lip liner if you’re willing to do a little maintenance throughout the day!

Color not as pictured
The color is no where near as dark as pictured so that was a disappointment. It’s still a pretty color and goes on very creamy. The stick has a sharpener as well.

Amazing color and smooth application

Since L’Oréal owns maybelline and this Lip liner looks allot like the L’Oréal ‘beyond pink’ ($15-20) color I decided to give it a go since it’s half the price ($7.20 on sale). Well, it’s very similar and the formula identical. I think this one has more but it could be just the tube is longer. I have to check the grams. Will get back on this. So, this ‘nude whisper’ has less coral in it so it’s a true neutral nude. It’s looks amazing with a light pinkish nude gloss for daily wear. If I want a bit more pink in it, I have other li pencils I find too pink and using this one on top makes it a perfect pinkish nude. So, bye bye Beyond Pink from L’Oréal! I’m a NW20, blue eyes and dark blonde naturally and color 3 tones lighter beige blonde. This works great for my coloring and not too dark or too pale. Usually nudes are too dark for me.
