About the authors
Genevieve “Jenny” Dreizen is the co-founder and COO of Fresh Starts Registry, the first and only platform for everything you need to begin again, including divorce or breakup, moving, career changes, stepping into your truth, or starting again after grief. On the heels of her sister Olivia’s divorce, which prompted Olivia to have an ‘aha moment’ when she realized we needed to reframe the narrative around big life changes, and her own decade-long relationship ending Olivia and Jenny founded Fresh Starts as the first Support Registry and Divorce Registry to help remove the overwhelm of starting over following any big, bold life transition as well as assemble the hype team of experts to support them through it.
Fresh Starts Registry is the only platform aggregating support experts for all life changes while simultaneously supporting the Fresh Starts Experts in their marketing, business, and public relations. Olivia knew that if we could shift the narrative to celebrate and support people through brave life decisions, it would empower them on their fresh start journey. Through her own experience, Jenny realized that her friends and family wanted to help but didn’t know how and she needed help but didn’t know how to ask. The two sisters took their own separate experiences coupled with their love for each other and found a way to create a business based on support.
Jenny’s career began with digital event activations, web design, and workflows. She moved from graphic designer to project manager and then to account manager, expanding her repertoire from design to team management. From her experience in digital, she made the leap into high-end stationery, where she managed and coordinated the conceptualizing, designing, and delivery of wedding invitations, accessories, notecards, personalized stationery, and customized favors. Nevertheless, events clung to Jenny, and she returned to large corporate events and activations. As a technical coordinator, she was integral in producing two BlizzCons, four Bloomberg Global Business Forums, a brand redesign launch event for Hilton Garden Inn, several events for Hewlett Packard, and more.
When the pandemic hit in March 2020, Jenny was confronted with the fact that although she loved the onsite work, and was not keen on the pre-show work of hours in front of Excel spreadsheets despite her love of a spreadsheet. Although the events community soldiered on with virtual events, Jenny saw it as the opportune moment to join Olivia at her thriving Social Media Agency, March Lion Media. Following Jenny joining the agency and taking over graphic design and operations, the agency doubled its client base and reported six-figure earnings.
Jenny is passionate about creating usable, efficient, and beautiful systems to run Fresh Starts to maintain their Experts, Support Specialists, and Freshies. She pulls in all of her knowledge from the various verticals where her expertise has flourished, including being a professional wedding officiant for a decade, to enrich the experience of each person Fresh Starts touches.
Born and raised on Long Island, Jenny graduated Cum Laude from Friends Academy, a Quaker high school, and with honors from New York University, where she studied Religious Studies and Russian. When not planted in front of her multi-screen setup, Jenny might be found baking brownies, working on a poem or essay, or doing her favorite thing - going for a walk and buying herself a little treat.
Olivia Howell is the co-founder and CEO of Fresh Starts Registry, the first and only platform for everything you need to begin again, including divorce or breakup, moving, career changes, stepping into your truth, or starting again after grief. After her own divorce in 2019, Olivia had an 'aha moment' when she realized that we celebrate weddings and babies with a registry, but in the moments we really need to restock our life, like divorce, job loss, or any brave decision and major life change, we need the support, both in the form of support items for your home and the experts who become our hype team.
Olivia's career began in the classroom as a middle school Latin, history, and drama teacher. After the birth of her first son, Olivia left the classroom and transitioned into managing social media for local businesses on Long Island. Over the next decade, her agency, March Lion Media, managed organic social media for brands, businesses, global entities, authors, entrepreneurs, television shows, and more. March Lion Media managed celebrities and influencers, securing brand sponsorships, press, and event deals. Olivia has spoken and taught social media to groups and businesses around Long Island and New York City. She is passionate about educating small business owners on marketing and press, which is the backbone of the Fresh Starts Expert Community.
As a long-time freelance writer and community builder, Olivia is a super-connector who thrives in connecting people to each other and jobs, as seen with her work on YentaList, her daily remote job posting website.
Born and raised on Long Island, Olivia attended a Quaker high school and Drew University, where she studied sociology and Classical Studies. Olivia currently lives in Huntington with her two amazing boys. In her spare time, she loves to watercolor, make handmade cards, read about generational trauma, listen to 90s music, and collect crystals. She's working on a romantic novel that has been in the works for far too long, and she hopes to eventually publish it before her children are too old to be totally embarrassed by it.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2023Simple Scripts to Support Your People: What to Say When You Don't Know What to Say was a book I picked up at the suggestion of a friend... I should probably pause and say this read is more like a guide than a book, I should also say the world might be a better place if people had this handy.
Have you ever struggled to find the right words to reach out to a friend?
Have you not reached someone who you thought was hurting because you feared you would say the "wrong" thing?
I think having this guide handy will help in those moments you are struggling to find the right words; whether it is a friend who lost someone, or a friend going through a breakup or even a tough parenting moment; the framework Olivia and Jenny layout could be very helpful.
I would recommend using the tips provides as a guide and making them feel more YOU when you use them!

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2023This book is a guide of what to say in different situations. The authors have truly thought of nearly everything! Each page is a short paragraph of a response to a scenario a friend or loved one finds themselves. I have been in some of these myself, and I have had friends in other ones. These are positive, supportive messages in the happy moments as well as the devastating.
I feel more comfortable with action and advice. I'll research, drive all night to be there, and will send gifts. The affirmations and being a true listening ear are so powerful, and I learned ways to get better at communicating my care for the person.
I'm glad I purchased this on Kindle so I can easily search for what fits! From finding new biological siblings to supporting someone trying to get pregnant, this is a resource I'll use for years to come.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2023As a mom of 2 littles, this is the content we need! No one is making showing up for our people within reach like this. Their scripts are a great jumping off point and allow me to communicate meaningfully to the ones I love when they need it, even if my capacity is low. I would love to see this as a series!

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST BUY for your living life tool kit!!
I was elated to read this book! With each turning of the page, I was filled with wonder and gratitude. Wonder, at how is it that some people, Olivia and Jenny Dreizen, could, with such care and compassion, provide words of support and encouragement, for so many of life's twist and turns, with such ease and grace. Wonder as too where has this book been my whole life. I have often struggled to know the right thing to say and my friends and loved ones when they have encountered hard times. And gratitude, because I have it now! As I turned through the now dog eared pages, this book also acted like a prompt for me to reach out to those who came to mind. Through reading this book, and the gentle, soft supportive words on its pages, I was able to better convey, how deeply I cared for them, and check in as to how could I help support them. It is a wonderful tool to have!
