I picked this item over all the other boot covers because it has a metal buckle and I'm happy to say the buckle is solid and secure and I'm happy with that part of it. Unfortunately that is the only thing i like about it. Everything else is meh...
First of it's not very thick, the photos made it seem like it provided significant insulation but really, it's as thick as a thin glove. Definitely not as thick as a wetsuit which was what i expected it to be.
Also the strap that goes under the boot does not fit in the space between the soles. Instead it fits on top of the front sole (see pictures) which means it will wear out quick once you start walking or even skiing on it.
And finally the cut/ fitment could be better. for reference I wear size 8 shoes and my boot is mondo 25.5. I purchased the recommended medium size which fits boots up to size 8.5. It feels like it's both too large and too small at the same time. The buckle at the back is right at the end of the adjustment. in the front it keeps wanting to cover the lip of the boot which would interfere with getting my boot into my bindings. It also feels a little too large at the top.
Overall I'm not quite satisfied with my purchase. I would not buy again just because of the location of the bottom strap. Ultimately I will have to how it actually does at keeping my boot warm before I decide if I will keep using it. Either way it's not an item I can return once i've used it because I'm sure I will wear out the bottom strap just by wearing it once.
