Young love to be shattered into pieces.. I wanted to go into the book and strangle Marjorie (mom). To be a religious person and at the same time has so much hate. Hate is an ugly word.. so much idk anger... To be so bitter and have her daughter so unhappy for so many years... The heart wants what the heart wants! I was so happy to see Jackson and Embers love find exactly where they left off and not dwell on all the negativity that kept them apart. Their sole mates ❤️ "When we touch, the hurts are healed."

    After reading the final word of When We Touch by Tia Louise, it took me a few days to process the exquisite romance this fantastic book represents. I am obsessed with love in all shapes and sizes, just let me at the gooey goodness. This novel is my absolute favorite kind--the unavoidable and soul-deep connection that no one would can deny. I'm so thankful this wonderfully talented author graced us with Ember and Jackson's beautiful journey.

    Reviewing this story is tricky because there are a lot of interwoven aspects and intriguing surprises that the reader needs to discover on their own. At first glance, you might think this is a typical second-chance romance but that's not the case. Ember and Jackson are the main focus but so much more is involved in their tale. If it was just the two of them, their love wouldn't have been separated in the first place but their reunion is explosive.

    Emberly Rose is a small town girl with too much weight on her shoulders. She really spoke to me and pulled on my heartstrings. I want to wrap Ember in a hug and tell her how amazing she is. When life tries beating her down, she rises above and keeps going. Even during the darkest days, she has a lot of great in her life and Ember uses those bright spots to continue forward. Dating and men are definitely not on the priority list though. Especially after a certain someone took off and never looked back.

    Many know him as Jack Lockwood but the only one who truly matters calls him Jackson Cane. He's found a lot of success over the last ten years so he should be happy beyond belief. He's actually quite the opposite though. Jackson is a very complex character with many faces and peeling back all of his layers was spectacular. He's extremely genuine and kind, even though that doesn't always come across. Jackson has that swoon factor and I couldn't get enough. I easily fell in love with his charm and personality... but he's got some explaining to do for others to feel the same way.

    I'm crazy about everything this book stands for. Never give up on your dreams or the love burning in your heart. Trust is easily given but hard to earn back. The stab of betrayal cuts deep and the wound might never heal. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing. There's so much packed into the pages and I eagerly devoured each part.

    Even though this is written word, I felt this book. I tasted it. I heard the story. It hit all my senses because Tia created a full-body experience meant to be savored entirely. The dynamic scenes and vivid descriptions allowed me to be part of the story. I never wanted the journey to end because I didn't want to leave this outstanding reality she created. I cannot wait to dive back in all over again.

    So, yeah. I loved this book and I want everyone to enjoy it too. Make sure to read When We Touch by Tia Louise. Dive in head first. Let your heart and soul be captured by this epic adventure.

    Tia Louise has done it again! When We Touch is a beautifully written second chance romance that has everything you could possibly want. Secrets, sexiness, drama, and characters you can't help but fall in love with.

    Ten years ago Jackson and Ember promised they would always be together and him leaving for college wouldn't change that, but everything changed the day he left, and now he's back in town and so much hurt is now between them. With so many secrets and betrayals between these two, and so many things put between them to keep them apart, it's amazing that their connection is as strong as it still is. Neither of them have ever truly gotten over one another, but there is a distance between them, and Ember definitely has her walls up against Jackson.

    Watching these two dance around one another in the first part of this book, and seeing both of their points of view, we knew that there was definitely a misunderstanding that kept them apart, but holy crap, when you find out the depths of betrayal and the lies that kept them apart, it angered me, and I was glad that these two were able to finally talk. These two definitely belong to one another, but there are so many forces, ten years later, still trying to keep them apart. They truly do deserve their chance, and each time they finally start to get it, something comes up. I loved Ember's friend Tabby and how she forced Ember to be happy, and give her happiness a priority in her life. It seemed as if Ember just seemed to go with the flow and let others make the decisions for her, so she wouldn't rock the boat, but as the book went on, she definitely found her voice again, and I loved this.

    This book definitely had many twists and turns, and we got to see so many secrets and lies come to light from many characters in this book. Small town life is definitely in play in this book, and I fell in love with most of the characters in this book. Watching Ember and Jackson finally reconnect, and see the love they have for one another is beautiful. The lengths that Jackson will go through to keep Ember in his life now that he has her again is amazing. This is truly a beautiful second chance romance and I definitely fell in love with these characters and their story.

    If you're looking for a second chance romance full of sexiness, secrets, drama, and a bit of suspense, then When We Touch by Tia Louise is definitely the book you need to pick up!

    I loved When We Touch by Tia Louise. It was such a good second chance at love romance. It was emotional and angsty, but also sweet and charming.

    Jackson Cane and Ember Rose fell in love and wanted a future together. When Jackson leaves for college it was not supposed to be goodbye. Ten years later he is back, but she was not supposed to be there. What they do not realize is the lies and secrets that surround them. Is it too late for them?

    Ember loved Jackson with her heart and soul and then he broke it. Shattered, she moved forward as best could. Jackson on the other hand buried himself in school and work, but not in his dreams and desires. Ember was sweet and caring, but also struggling to find her way. Jackson found himself at a crossroad in his life and needed to go home. Jackson was sexy, strong and loving.

    Jackson and Ember were high school sweethearts when, because of lies, troublemaking and deceit they were torn apart. Ember was heartbroken that Jackson never came back and had no idea why? Ten years later, Jackson is a very successful solicitor but comes back "home" after a bad case to find that Ember never left and now is running a successful bakery and has an adorable little girl called Coco. Tia Louise has created such a wonderful story line that I was drawn in very early on. Ember and Jackson so deserved their HEA and a happy home life for Coco too. As for Ember's mother! What a piece of work! But I loved Ember's best friend Tabby and would love her to have her own HEA as that way we would also find out how Ember, Jackson and Coco are doing too :) There is humour, heartbreak, hateful behaviour but also protectiveness, caring, passion, loving friendship, support and love too. All mixed together in a terrific story that will move you emotionally and will not want to put down until you've finished it. Tia Louise has created a brilliant story here that I really enjoyed reading. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.,

    I've been planning to read TIa Louise for quite a while, and I finally did it. And am I happy I did!

    This is a stand alone, second chance, small town, contemporary romance and it was so adorably sweet.
    Jackson and Emberly were teenage sweethearts and their love was so deep and pure. But their story together started way before that.

    The problem is that they were facing so many obstacles they didn't know of, and that was the end for them. That is until Jackson came back to town after ten years.

    So many things have happened, so many things have changed, but the important things have remained the same, because when they meet again, When they touch, all their feelings and love sparkle!

    They still have a lot to solve and fix, they have a lot to overcome and find out, but Ember, Jack and Coco (of course) have all it takes to start over as family.

    And the secondary characters, both good and bad, were fundamental to the story. I loved reading them.

    It was such a sweet, loving, sexy story. The plot had a lot of potential, even if some feelings were rushed sometimes, but I really loved this book and I'm certainly reading this author again.

    Marjorie (Embers mother) was a cold, calculating women who was unhappy with her life so tried to destroy her daughter's. This book had me on edge and I found myself getting frustrated. I loved Coco (Embers daughter) she was just so full of life, Jackson strong, determined and goes after what he wants, Tabby the best friend we all need someone like her on our side.
