About the authors
Phil Rossi--writer, musician, and new media content creator--has a passion for story-telling matched only by the pleasure he derives from keeping his fans awake at night. Crescent, Rossi's debut novel, was originally released as a podcast in 2007 and has since lured 20,000 listeners into a dark, twisted world of nightmares and things that go bump in the night. Phil Rossi's writing has been paralleled to Stephen King, Philip K. Dick, and HP Lovecraft. He has a flair for vivid and often chilling imagery that lends itself to engrossing narratives and an undertone of inescapable, creeping dread. Phil Rossi is a professional musician in the Washington DC metropolitan area creating and performing music spanning from solo acoustic, to industrial, to techno.
"CRESCENT is the last stop at the intergalactic crossroads of gritty scifi and pucker-inducing horror--Blade Runner as written by H.P. Lovecraft, a horrific hard scifi express-ride." -- Scott Sigler, New York Times Best-Selling author of Contagious
"Crescent is the ultimate sci-fi / horror mashup. It's a wicked blend of the claustrophobia seen in Ridley Scott's Alien, and the viral demonology of Carpenter's Prince Of Darkness -- with the hard-drinkin' bad attitude of Battlestar Galactica added for good measure. The future has never been so frightening. Phil Rossi brings it." --J.C. Hutchins, author of Personal Effects: Dark Art and 7th Son: Descent
"Space opera - of the Sweeney Todd or Phantom of the Opera variety. That's right. Phil Rossi has crafted a space station tale with sex, horror, and vibrant attention to tech and human detail. Evocatively served, highly recommended." --Paul Levinson, author of The Plot to Save Socrates
Loki DeWitt has lived in a number of different places but currently lives in Arkansas. He has loved horror since a very young age when he was introduced to the genre by watching a number of 80s horror movies with his dad (Despite his mom's protests). Years later he began writing in the dreaded land of fan fiction. While his stories were not original, they let him sharpen his skills for the days ahead when he would tell his own stories. Now an adult, Loki retains his overactive imagination and takes great pleasure in unleashing it on readers.

Magic of the universe inspired me to be a writer. A disembodied voice assisting as I ran to get help for my mother as a kid; sensing ghosts in open houses, legit haunted locations, and even interacting with one over the years in my workplace. I read, investigated, attended past life regressions and delved into meditation, all on a unique spiritual journey. That's what I write about.

My past influenced me to write a psychological thriller. Something that takes you in one direction then completely spins your mind around to end up in a scenario you never thought you would be in. The strange and spooky take me out of reality and let me enjoy my imagination to its full potential.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2023This anthology is like reading multiple horror stories at once and I LOVED it. It was a fantastic way to introduce myself to “new to me” authors and reading authors I already loved (Here’s to you, Noelle Ihli)
These stories were creepy, some haunting, some cringeworthy but all AMAZING. If you’re looking for a horror palette cleanser or short stories to read rather than a full novel, give this a try. Literally so so SO good.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2023I have read a lot of young adult scary anthologies but this one hits a new level being adult themed. All the stories were magnificent and terrifying. It hits every topic you are afraid of and many more that you didn’t even know you feared. All the authors did an excellent job and this book came out fabulously!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2023This anthology is a perfect read as we approach Halloween, or if you keep Fall in your heart all year round, like I do. The stories really did give me a shiver, and I'll never look at massage parlors the same way again. Definitely a nice quick read for those looking to add to their spooky shelves!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Grabs you from page 1 and doesn't let up.
A wide range of stories, from ones that will make you shiver to the kind of horror that provides deep thinking social commentary. Fans of Stephen King, Niel Gaiman, and Holly Black will not be disappointed. Thrills, chills and violent delights await you.
