All the while the young queen continues to search for a way to defeat two devious, indestructible sisters who seem capable of manipulating outcomes regardless of Eena's attempts to thwart them. The closer she gets to fulfilling the final demands of these witches, the more it appears only one way exists to save herself and her world—by agreeing to join the enemy. But would that make her a hero or the ultimate traitor?

Perhaps because innately we fear the dark."

From the Back Cover
but for those unable to rise and continue;
they are the only souls with a right to it.
It is an end where breath and strength and will
have vanished, leaving no way to persevere.
To sink into the abyss that is despair
is to suffer an existence far worse than death;
therefore,cling to its enemy, our ally--hope.
For life goes on,
and we must not live in despair.
We must not.-- Richelle E.Goodrich
About the Author
"I like bubbles in everything. I respect the power of silence. In cold or warm weather, I favor a mug of hot cocoa. I admire cats—their autonomy, grace, and mystery. I awe at the fiery colors in a sunset. I believe in deity. I hear most often with my eyes, and I will trust a facial expression before any accompanying comment. I invent rules, words, adventures, and imaginary friends. I pretend something wonderful every day. I will never quit pretending."

About the author
https://www.RichelleGoodrich.com
I was born in Odgen, Utah in the fall of 1968 and spent my first two years of childhood in Sandy, Utah, surrounded by aunts and uncles. My parents moved us to Washington State during a wintry snowstorm in 1970. The accumulation of snow stuck us in Spokane for a couple days before we moved on to Moses Lake, Washington. The plan was to work for two years and then make our way back to Utah, but my parents must have grown fond of sagebrush and tumbleweeds because they set down roots in that windy, desert town.
I grew up with three siblings—a brother and two sisters—and graduated with honors from Moses Lake High School, Big Bend Community College, and finally Eastern Washington University with a BA in general studies and a BAEd in natural science/ mathematics education.
I was blessed to have parents who enrolled me in ballet, tap dance, gymnastics, girl scouts, piano lessons, as well as a short bout with the viola and the guitar. For years my mother drove me faithfully to lessons and meetings after school. Any artistic talent I possess is also owed to my parents. My dad sketched cartoon characters when I was a child while my mom created beautiful oil paintings. Their examples inspired me to take art classes in both high school and college.
It wasn’t until I was older that I developed an interest in writing. That in itself is a long story. You can read about it on my author blog (https://regoodrichnews.blogspot.com/2012/05/whatever-made-you-want-to-write-book.html) Since that first attempt at writing a novel-length manuscript, I have self-published thirteen unique books. Quotes from my books have been reprinted various places, including the Oxford Philosophy Being Human Course Book, in a Revlon ad magazine campaign, on the opening scene of an episode of Alone, and in eight Chicken Soup for the Soul books... eight that I presently know of.
Writing has become an adventure for me, and I find myself jotting down poetry and story ideas whenever and wherever opportunity presents itself. I have learned to wisely utilize short portions of time, knowing that small accomplishments add up considerably and quickly. I prefer to write in complete silence when possible; it seems my muses are more apt to visit me in calm, quiet atmospheres. If you want a glimpse into my head, I am an Alice in Wonderland girl—curious, creative, watchful, always thinking, always wondering.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2018I enjoy the Eena series, keeps my interest and extremely well written.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2020A lot of interesting things happen in this book, and I am honestly torn on what I think of them. This book is the hardest to review, because if I say anything, it might spoil it for others reading the book. I can say I really like this cover. It has beautiful colors and a nice perspective. There are some definite surprises in this book. I am certainly curious where it might lead next. My mind is full of question marks.
