Customers like the performance, quality and ease of installation of the relay. For example, they mention it works well, it's sturdy and easy to install. Some are happy with heating. That said, some complain about the durability and disagree on size and amp capacity.
AI-generated from the text of customer reviews
Customers like the performance of the relay. For example, they say it works well, the contactor itself works fine, and it works as expected for 12V power. Some mention that it works great for their old fashioned western plow setup and has no problems.
"...This approach works well for a small cabin and we don't have all of the inverter loss. (We can run a 680 sq ft cabin on just 400 watts of solar)...." Read more
"...Some of the electronics are high amp devices. This relay works well." Read more
"I use one in a kill switch ciruit for my F250 SD truck. Works great so far and nice to have a spare if it fails...." Read more
"...For this purpose it is working perfectly...." Read more
Customers are satisfied with the quality of the relay. They mention that it is a heavy duty unit, sturdy, and well made. Some say that it can handle heavy loads and is rated for continuous load.
"...This is a sturdy relay with heavy terminals and never is warm to the touch...." Read more
"...The relay is rated for continuous duty. It is heavy and feels well built." Read more
"Good quality thank you" Read more
"Very durable, size 10mm nuts, heavy duty." Read more
Customers find the installation process of the relay to be easy. They mention that it's easy to mount, connect, and is able to handle the load.

"...Good product." Read more
"...They work well and look good under the hood." Read more
Customers like the heating of the relay. They say it does not heat up like the normal relays, works perfectly, and remains cool. Some customers also say it helps them get their heat working again.
"...This is a sturdy relay with heavy terminals and never is warm to the touch...." Read more
"...This relay remains cool and turns on and off with my keyed accessory switch. Can’t recommend this enough...." Read more
"Using this on a heavy duty radiator fan. Never gets hot. It is energized 100% of the time that the ignition is on...." Read more
"...to power a large draw electric fan for a radiator , worked perfectly doesn’t get warm" Read more
Customers are mixed about the size of the relay. Some mention it's small, easy to put in compartment, and has a small capacity. However, others say that the studs seem a little small for 120A continuous, but for lesser amperages it seems. The relay is physically big, but it is 120 amps after all. The seat of the Studs are very narrow so you would need to get terminals.
"This relay is physically BIG, but it is 120 amps after all. The little hanging bracket helps...." Read more
"Very durable, size 10mm nuts, heavy duty." Read more
"I like the small package, but it does not fit my installation as a 250 amp rated relay...." Read more
"Studs seem a little small for 120A continuous, but for lesser amperages it seems just fine, and a good value for the price...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the amp capacity of the relay. Some mention that it handles high amperage, has plenty of power to run several lights and attachments, and gets the full charge it can take. Others say that it's not sufficient for 200 amps, doesn't handle half the ampereage it'd be rated for, and is marginal for 120 amps.
"...It gets the full charge it can take. I charged my battery at 50 amps for 2 minutes, then it dropped to 30 amps...." Read more
"...The connections were adequate for my use but marginal for 120 Amps. I write an an electrical engineer with experience in relays and control devices...." Read more
"...One pulling, one pushing. These can handle the high current that others cannot and fail...." Read more
"...Definitely can't handle half the amperage it's rated for. Definitely wouldn't buy again" Read more
Customers are dissatisfied with the durability of the relay. They mention that the terminal posts broke from the ABS plastic upon disassembly, the case separates from the bottom too easily, and the top separated, leaving the guts of the device exposed.
"...scuffing it off could have restored function but the terminal posts broke from the abs plastic upon dissassembly...." Read more
"...with it is that the single hole mounting screw is very weak and fell apart once I tightened the screw down to hold it in place...." Read more
"...The reason I knocked off a star was that the panel where the terminals reside came loose on one and I had to glue it back on the case...." Read more
"It works but the top separated leaving the guts of the relay exposed and definitely doesn't seem water/ weather resistant." Read more

I wanted a relay in order to have a remote power switch for the whole cabin that is in series with the load terminals on the charge controller, which has a low voltage automatic cutoff for battery protection, but that relay had to be able to handle a nominal 24V at the coil and is actually switching a 12V load. I also had to handle 30 amps @ 12V and wanted a lot of headroom. Yes, our entire cabin draws less than 360 watts peak, and we have a generator for the rare times when we need it for tools or other high loads or for emergency battery charging. We go months without using the generator.
A prior cheap relay rated to 30amps got very hot and proved not to be durable. This is a sturdy relay with heavy terminals and never is warm to the touch. Thank you Amazon, for having all of the oddball parts that I would not know where to get otherwise.
Anyway, I bought this 200A version before I figured out the real problem. Now I have two relays, and a new US$145 pressure switch that triggers the inexpensive and reliable relay appropriately.
Accessories include 6 AWG copper crimp terminals (should work with 8 AWG, but if you have 4 AWG wire you will need to provide your own terminals.
Also included is heat shrink for the crimp terminals, wire for the coil (takes standard butt connectors), and 4 extra washers per relay.
Photos show amperage required to operate the coil at different voltages.
Coil amperage at 13.8 volts is 0.16 amps
Minimal voltage required to activate the coil is 7.5 volts
Lowest voltage to keep the coil activated is 2.4 volts (any lower it will turn off)
I plan on using this to activate a fuse box for an overkill air horn system, so it will only be activated momentary. The relay is rated for continuous duty. It is heavy and feels well built.

It does make a click sound when you turn it on/off, but it happens ones, and its not a big deal. But, just referencing it as smaller relays don't make this sound.
