We are using this hot sauce on so many foods, and they are all delicious. The sauce blends into whatever we make and kicks up the flavor of the meal, while adding a little heat on the back end. We've added it to everything from turkey (under the skin while cooking) and on sandwiches afterwards to beef roasts - friends tried blueberry on roasts and said it acts like a barbeque sauce with less sugar; and glazed ham, and even bacon - to chicken and seafood, to cheese dishes and dips, to brownie mixes and ice cream. We purchased the roasted red pepper at a little shop and use it on vegetable dishes. We love this versatile sauce!

I think this needs to be described as something different than a “hot sauce.” It’s not anything like what one would generally think of as a hot sauce and is to be used differently. Also, it’s really not hot or spicy at all.

I love unusual combinations of sweet/fruity with savory/spicy. I love pineapple salsa or this horseradish apple sauce I had once or fruits added to curries. Naturally, I was excited to try this sauce. However, I have no idea what it would work on. It seems to be more of something that should be sweet on sweet as the bottle suggests like pancakes or eggs. This is not a flavor I want with those items personally.

Out of the bottle, it is delicious! It has a strong blueberry taste and smell then a slight kick of spice as it moves through my mouth. It’s very nice. I tried it on breakfast burritos, beans, and chicken nuggets. I think it’s best on the chicken nuggets. I could see it going well with turkey as well. It’s more suitable as a mango chutney-like accompaniment than a traditional hot sauce. Personally, I find this flavor, delightful as it is, doesn’t make a savory-sweet flavor profile I expected when combined with anything so far. I’ll keep trying because it is delicious, but if you have expectations of a “hot sauce” type condiment, this is not going to fulfill that role.

I am so glad I decided to order "Tannenbaum's Botanical Hot Sauce - Cranberry, Orange Peel & Allspice"
This is one flavorful and versatile sauce- with the fruit and spices perfectly balanced and the heat level "just right" for a wide range of culinary creations. I have found it to be a perfect compliment to such a wide range of foods across the breakfast- lunch- dinner spectrum. It really livens up my favorite yoghurt, works exceedingly well as a topping for vanilla ice cream, and when heated up for use as a glaze!

I’m honestly surprised at all the gleaming reviews this “hot sauce” has. Calling this a hot sauce seems a bit disingenuous to me, this is much closer to a barbecue sauce that has no smokiness.

For all the great ingredients this sauce uses, the flavor is surprisingly very one-note and has no depth at all. You can’t really pick up any distinct flavors unless you’re drowning half the bottle at once. You can pick up an ever so faint hint of habanero at the end, and just maybe the pineapple as well. This sauce tastes sweet, and that’s really it. You can tell it’s a fruity type of sweet and not just sugary sweet, but you really have to dig deep to pick up the taste of pineapple.

The spice is just nonexistent here. Granted, I’m a bit of a spice fiend, but that doesn’t mean I can’t taste less spice. I can tolerate higher spice, but I can still taste spice on milder stuff, and I just can’t find anything in this. Even my roommate (who has significantly less spice tolerance than me) couldn’t pick up any spice. You can pick up a tiny bit of habanero flavor at the end, which I guess you may associate with spice flavor. But the sauce itself isn’t spicy whatsoever.

I could at least pass this off as a meh sweet sauce if the price was right, but it’s terrible. I find zero redeeming qualities for this small bottle to be worth 14 bucks. If you’re looking for pineapple flavored barbecue sauce or hot sauce, there are hundreds of better options out there, and a lot of them at much cheaper prices. I won’t even get into the sugar content of this thing.

I'm really disappointed in this sauce given all the great ingredients it has. One tip I can offer is that the pineapple flavor comes through a bit more when having the sauce refrigerated rather than at room temp.

Very interesting idea! Isn't exactly hot/spicy, so calling it a hot sauce is a bit misleading. The biggest issue is trying to find something to pair it with. Likely would be best with a meat like pork that doesn't already have too much seasoning on it.
