This is a story that should be read by young and old. Eva’s life has been a succession of incredible adventures, many frightening and terrifying, and yet many beautiful and heartwarming, some of which she experienced while in hiding from the Nazis as a young child.

Her appreciation for humor, beauty, nature and love, can be seen forming in childhood and developing into her long and adventure-filled adulthood. A born humorist, a joke teller par excellence, and blessed with an innate joie de vivre, she continues to overcome the very human struggles and problems associated in a long and very beautiful life.

The honesty with which she writes makes her story very relatable, even to those whose lives have been untouched by the horrors of war. And to this day, she continues to inspire and educate young people by leading groups on the annual March for the Living.

How fortunate that she has shared her extraordinary story to live on for generations to come.

I loved this book! It was like reading the most wonderful, uplifting telenovela. Every day I looked forward to reading the next chapter at night. No matter what occurred during the day, whatever funky mood I was in, I knew that it didn't matter because I'd be reading Eva's next chapter and it would be interesting and uplifting, characteristic of Eva. And it was!
The book tells of a miraculously guided life that brings Eva to a full circle of healing from beginning to end... It's a story of family, war, survival, maturing, love stories...I loved seeing Eva's growth and maturation through life. Having her sprinkle jokes was uplifting as well. Eva's resilient, positive, and adventurous spirit carries her through the unexpected occurrences of life and brings her healing and understanding. Her love stories are profound and touching.
I met Eva at a Jewish networking 13 years ago and fell in love with her spunky and positive nature. We've eaten lunches together at her place and watched movies. This book is Eva. I didn't imagine that I would love and enjoy this book so much. It far surpassed my expectations. I bought the book at Eva's book launch and have been telling everyone about it. Keywords= Jewish, Nazi Germany, miracles, love story, adventures, history, Holocaust education, family, caring, Israel, coming of age, deep healing, finding oneself, and did I mention how positive and healing it is??? Read it!!! You'll love it!!!

I read many books about the Holocaust and the survivors but Eva's book is different in many ways.
Through her story as a child during the war in France ,the resourcefulness of her parents, then as a young woman and older adult, she keeps a positive attitude and she exudes strength and " Joie de vivre "

I will recommend this memoir very highly .It is a page turner ,never boring, funny at times and full of wisdom.

Not being Jewish I didn’t know if I could relate to Eva’s experiences and appreciate her effort in writing her memoir. Well, my doubt was quashed from the first page reading quickly through her life was a fascinating experience for me. I recommend her book highly to anyone!!!!!! Well done Eva!!!

This is a fascinating book about the author's fascinating life. She describes in her book her family's narrow escape from the Nazis and her and her family's life in different countries. I started reading the book and couldn't put it down.
