    Grinder was used and dirty with coffee grounds still inside of it. The adjustment didn't function properly and it required the axle manually being pushed down from the top to adjust for coarser grind settings. Requested a replacement and will update depending on if the new one is better.

    Update
    The replacement grinder arrived a few days ago. This time the box was sealed in a plastic wrap and everything was new as it should be. Excellent grinder and the consistency is better than my kingrinder k6. Getting brighter brews with more clarity and acidity. The flavor notes are more distinct and I'm enjoying using this quite a bit. My only complaints are the reassembly is a little quirky and getting everything adjusted so the calibration isn't thrown off is a little finnicky.

    First off, this is a really nicely finished and constructed grinder. It works exactly as you would expect and because of that fit and finish it makes it a nice aesthetic piece as well as functional. We have struggled a little bit with figuring out how to clean it thoroughly but it hasn't been an issue. It's nice even to make a single cup's worth to bump up a Kureig coffee with fresh grounds. I'm knocking off a star because of the price point. There are a number of similar grinders (with similar build quality) on Amazon that are in the $65-$80 price range. This one at the time of writing this review is $150 but with a $15 coupon. So it's a great grinder and works really well, but not the best value.

    This is a very good quality hand grinder. We have another one that gets puts into action for our espresso routine on occasion. This one is far better and far more consistent. Very little to no retention and minimal static - do mist your beans for best results. Easy to take apart and clean and stays super consistent between uses. Some grinders after taking apart need to be constantly recalibrated and checked. This one is great and after dialing it in for our machine has stayed very true. Sifted a couple baskets and found little to no powder. Build quality is great and functions beautifully. Comes in a nicely packaged box with some accessories and would make a great gift for the espresso fan in your life. Overall very nice manual grinder and worth the investment.

    Quite a nice grinder. The grinds seem to be relatively consistent in size, and grounds retention is a bit better than some of the other hand grinders I have. The silicone base on the bottom is a nice addition as well for tapping on the counter without damaging to loosen extra grounds, and the construction does seem to be quite sturdy (although not the sturdiest I have used). The grind size adjustment is very good, though, especially for espresso--each step is quite a small step in grind size, making it great for dialling in the perfect shot. The burr is quite easy to grind with, as well, and tends to "catch" less than other grinders I've used in a similar price bracket.

    This is one serious coffee grinder: heavy for it's size; quality materials; several grind options (with precise settings); conveniently compact for easy storage and transport; and requires no electricity (making this more considerate to others in the house or neighbors, not having to run the loud electric grinder!)! The multiple grind options allow a variety of coffee drinkers (French press, pour over, espresso, etc.) to enjoy a cup their way (although less efficient for cold brew). Time will tell how long this grinder will hold up. For now, very pleased with it's appearance, size, and options. Very giftable, too; the item was attractively and securely packaged.
