Editorial Reviews
With Beatlemania and the British Invasion in full swing, the Rolling Stones were announced as "England's Newest Hit Makers." Released to coincide with their arrival in New York on June 1, 1964, where they began their first U.S. tour. Describing the album, Keith Richard said it "reflected what we used to play at the Crawdaddy - a regular diet of Jimmy Reed, Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters with some Slim Harpo. The album was the cream of the set." Available on 180-gram teal vinyl LP. Amazon Exclusive.

What I would like to review is this particular teal-colored reissue. Mine arrived in a fine-quality cover with a standard paper inner sleeve - not really the deluxe treatment. The record itself is dished enough that there is air under the edge all the way around when playing side one; when playing side two, I flattened it with a record weight which I don't normally use. The edge was sharper than I prefer, but not worse than has become common with modern records.
Soundwise, I was again disappointed. This appears to have been a well-mastered version, but the record itself is noisy. It sounds dirty on the lead-in, but cleaning it didn't help. It's just noisy. Additionally, there is considerable distortion on the second half of side two.
Overall, I think this could have been a nice package, but the disc I received was pressed poorly. It might be ok for a person with an entry level turntable who has low standards for their vinyl. For me, it was a bummer. Unfortunately, similar issues with other colored reissues were not resolved by exchanging them so I didn't bother this time. Instead, I got a standard black copy and it is great.
Here's a closer look at what makes this vinyl release special:
Pros:
Bluesy Brilliance: This album takes you on a journey through the blues, showcasing the Stones' early exploration of the genre. It's a testament to their musical versatility and pays homage to the genre that influenced their legendary sound.
Monophonic Magic: The mono format adds a layer of authenticity to the listening experience. It's as if you're transported back in time, savoring the raw and unfiltered sound that defined an era.
Cool Attitude: There's an undeniable coolness that oozes from every groove of this record. It captures the spirit of rebellion and musical innovation that defined the Rolling Stones and their generation.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In summary, the Rolling Stones on Teal Vinyl is a treasure for both fans of the band and lovers of blues music. It's a testament to the Stones' roots and their early musical journey. The mono format adds authenticity, and the overall package is dripping with the cool attitude that made the Rolling Stones legendary. If you appreciate the blues and want to experience the essence of a bygone musical era, this teal vinyl release is a must-have. It's not just a record; it's a time machine that transports you to the heart of rock 'n' roll's rebellious spirit.

le packaging est simpliste , seul éventuellement le support cd qui rappelle le vinyl peu faire paser la pillule
