Review
★★★★ "Alex and Callie are so good together, if only they can overcome these not inconsiderable obstacles to find their happily ever after. With smart, witty banter, steamy goodness, and emotional highs and lows, this is a story of their journey to do just that. And you won't be disappointed. " - Melanie A. Smith, Author of The Safeguarded Heart Series
★★★★ "Lots of action, scandal, romance and heart!!" - The Guide to Romance Novels
★★★★★ "This review doesn't begin to touch the surface and depths of this story. It's actually a parallel love story between past, present and future love. It's beautifully told, and I greatly appreciated the author wanting to give her readers a satisfying and complete love story. I love this story from beginning to the very end. " - Rosie J., Goodreads Reviewer

About the author
Lucy Eden is the nom de plume of a romance-obsessed author who writes the kind of romance she loves to read. She’s a sucker for alphas with a soft gooey center, over the top romantic gestures, strong & smart MCs, humor, love at first sight (or pretty damn close), happily ever after & of course, dirty & steamy love scenes.

Sometimes you may think you have it all and that's happiness, but it truly isn't, something is always missing 😔. The heart knows 🤔. Read as a powerful CEO finds his heart ♥️. Good read 😉.
Callie was trying to show her dad that she was ready to be at the helm of the family’s hotel business while Alex was trying to buy the hotel from under them. They were enemies in business but kindred spirits in love. It made for a tense and sort of angsty read because I knew Callie and Alex would have to make some really hard choices.
The story flowed well and chemistry was palpable. These two had NO problem in the sex department just in the professional arena. I do wish it wasn’t insta-love because the physical part felt rushed.
Callie and Alex were likable characters so I was rooting for them to last.
The twist with the mom was both emotional and educational. It worked well within the love story. I’m glad I tried this book after hearing it from the audio in color Instagram. I really liked it.
As is the case for the majority of people, there are two sides to Calypso (Callie), professional and personal, and they really couldn't be more different. One is fast paced whereas the other is leisurely, being on an island and all. Her focus is on her career, viewing intelligence as more valuable than the looks she had nothing to do with, and hoping she'll eventually meet a man who feels the same. When she meets a sexy stranger, she can't help but wonder if the two must remain divided or if she can have the best of both worlds.
Spending time together, the instant connection they'd felt deepens, growing stronger with every encounter, but can they merge their lives into one that allows them both to be happy and have what they need? Alexander knows being on the island feels like more than a business trip, but he isn't sure if it's everything he's imagining or he's just caught in the moment...not to mention the fact he's actually thinking about relaxing and not the million and one things he has to do for work.
Maybe they can help each other? Or is this just a temporary break in time before real life calls? But what happens when she realizes he's part of the company trying to buy out her dad and he discovers her connection to the unwilling to sell owner?
One-click now and follow along as two people meet and discover there's more to life than working, and that just maybe happily ever afters do exist. On a side note, I didn't care for the fact that when we have Alexander's internal thoughts, after seeing but not yet meeting Callie, that the not subtle invitation for dinner and more with the mother of the young boy he's befriended, a married woman no less, would be tempting if the kid wasn't there and he could stop thinking about the mystery woman, aka the heroine. Really? He would have been tempted by a married woman? That makes me question his integrity and, as it was only about five percent in, shadowed the rest of the story for me. I also didn't like that he let her touch his arm, with Callie off to the side as they'd both been checking each other out. No woman wants to see another woman touch the man she's eyeballing.- By Elizabeth

I wish the MMC had more to him, though. He wasn't a fully developed character.
