Found an impossible leak
After looking over the upper timing cover, I thought the leak was from the gasket (common on these 2.0ts).but it almost seemed like it wasn't. Without this stuff I would have never seen the hairline crack in the cover itself. It looks small but a decent amount of oil would leak from it. The car is all sorted out now thanks to this stuff. Comes in handy.

I have been using this product for many years. It works great as long as you do a little pre-inspection preparation. Clean the item well prior to adding the dye, run the item and use a UV light to find the leak. Works well in Engines, Transmissions, Transfer cases, Differentials, Power Steering systems. They say it works in the Fuel systems, but I personally have not tried it in the Fuel. Also works in Diesel engines, but it takes more one bottle of dye. Photos are of Rear main Confirmation, Viewed after the removal of the transmission. The leak was located prior to pulling the transmission by oil running down the back side of the oil pan from inside the bell housing. If the dye does not show up for you, try a different UV Light. Different brands of UV Lights, have slightly different light spectrum's. I have a FLUKE Brand, Police Security Brand, and a generic off brand from Amazon.
Works great. A little patience and a UV Light does the trick.
