I have a 2020 Ford Fusion Titanium and placed as much of this product as I could in every door panel and in the trunk lid. I would highly suggest getting a roller to apply it where you can get the roller to fit, but also a sturdy pair of scissors to cut it.
It says that you're supposed to roll it until you can't see the pattern, but it's really best effort. If you can't roll out the pattern, it's no big deal. Just press it down as best you can. I didn't prep any surfaces. Super easy to apply! I wouldn't bother with gloves. Just do the coverage as best you can. It can be tedious, but think about it, you're already taking panels off and you don't want to have to take them off again to add more, so do it right. Get panel removing tools.
I did have to add some extra from a previous box I had, to finish the job, but I covered every place I could without having to cut it into tiny chunks.
It made a difference in the sound inside the car, which I think is tough to describe. It just sounds more "solid" when blasting music loud. Standing outside the car, it doesn't rattle with it turned all the way up. I mean, there is some slight trunk rattle, but that's with 600 watts pushing two 10s. It's infinitely better than those cars at stop lights with their trunks rattling like crazy.

1) I purchased a cheap roller, mainly due to the small size needed for all the nooks I had to deal with. If you're using the product on a larger, smoother surface, spring for a better roller. I used to have a heavy rubber roller with a wood handle and heavy steel roller frame, which I miss dearly, look for one of those. The cheap, lightweight style makes it very difficult to compress the diamond-shaped impressions on the metal outer surface smooth, as the instructions direct you to do.
2) The instructions say the use of heat is optional. Use it-after sticking the product down and before you roll. Use a hair dryer or a heat gun (on low), you'll get significantly better results and the product will conform to oddly-shaped surfaces better.
3) The product cuts very easily and cleanly with with any average pair of scissors.
4) As you can see from the photos, I used metal tape on the seams and edges. I recommend this, as it keeps the roller from sticking to the butyl along the edge and will assure that the edges never lift-although the product is sticky enough that I doubt it would anyway. The first pic is everything cut and laid out, the second is the finished job. I used less than half of the box for this job, including what I used on the license plate.

Preparation:
For my part, the project of installing the Noico 80 mil sound deadening tiles coincided with an entire SUV interior rebuild. We were having the rug, leather interior, and infotainment system replaced new. I coordinated with the technician and only showed up with the Noico product when the car interior was completely bare. I took time to clean the SUV floor pan thoroughly. Some people recommend using alcohol to ensure that oily substances do not interfere with adhesion. I found that this was not necessary.
How much did it take for an SUV?
I purchased 10 boxes of 10 sq. ft. each. So, that was 100 sq. ft. In actual application, I was able to cover the entire SUV floor - including the rear space all the way back to the 3rd row seats - I had four boxes left over. I'll add that I did not do the four doors. But, in the end, I found that it did not matter. The SUV is significantly quieter now.
What else should one buy to apply this material?
Certainly, have a quality retractable utility razor with replacement blades. You will have to cut the Noico material to fit around certain areas to ensure coverage. Cut with care; don't get hurt.
Purchase the application roller. The one I purchased had a poorly screwed hex nut to hold it together. So, I re-tightened it with red Loctite so that it would not continue to come apart.
You can purchase the aluminum car finishing tape. I purchased 2 x 66 ft. rolls and did not need to use the second one. The aluminum tape is nowhere near the strength of the type used for aircraft repairs (if you've ever used that type). It is easy to break by hand, but it does the job and does produce a clean finish.
Overall, I highly recommend this product. I am very happy with the results and the vehicle looks great with the new interior and it is very enjoyable now that it is so quiet.
