    Everyone who left a review saying the markers were too opaque are wrong because they left their review without taking gravity into consideration lol… yes, when I went to use the markers right out of the box, they were opaque and extremely light. However, I gave it some thought and hung the markers upside down so that the ink dripped down into the tip overnight. And that was the ticket my friends. The ink is dark and works just fine! As evidenced by my photo. So, no. You do not need to buy different markers. Just hang them upside down on the fridge to ensure the ink fills the tip! Also, I’ve had no problems with the magnets. A great calendar system. But if you want to buy different markers, get the ones by Tackie! You won’t be disappointed. Avoid expo. You’re welcome.

      I am very type A and this calendar duo is perfect! It helps keep our schedules organized and we use the to do list space for grocery lists and to do lists which has been very helpful. The week calendar has been great for meal planning for the week as well! I did wind up using it on a white door and the markings on the door made it hard to see what was written on the calendar so I put some cricut vinyl behind it and it’s perfect! You can easily write and erase ( I keep the markers tip down, they seem to work better that way). Size and look is as shown.

      *UPDATE* if you just write with the markers for a few mins the color will become more vibrant!

      I absolutely love these board-the only downfall is the markers are not vibrant enough. I have put it on both my silver and black parts of the fridge and you cannot see anything I write with the markers.

      The magnetic calendars are great. They have a very strong magnet so they just stick to the surface (our stainless steel refridgerator) very well. It comes with two. They are both a bit large, so for us, I can’t have them side by side in the top freezer door. You can arrange them as you wish. The section dividers are also well done. The markers, as others have said, are not the best because the colors aren’t vivid enough. Only the purple is decent. Buy your own markers, but the boards are great quality.
