It is NSF-approved and its large, easy-to-read dial shows clearly marked temperatures, perfect for professional and home kitchens, traditonal ovens, toaster ovens, grills, smokers or any heat based food appliance. The battery free design reads instantly and without the need for battery power so it can be standing or hanging. There is an extreme temperature range that reads between 60° to 580° degrees Fahrenheit. Reads both Fahrenheit and Celsius. It hangs or stands for easy installation and has a lens that will not shatter. It measures 2 inches long by 4.55 inches wide 0.15 pounds.

    I actually spent an hour or so researching oven thermometers. I ended up with this Rubbermaid thermometer. I didn't need any of the extra fancy, expensive ones. I just wanted to see why my toaster oven was leaving my Trader Joe's quesadillas, raw. A simple tool for a simple task. I was making it hard on myself. Just needed one that is accurate and easy to read. And this is it. My toaster oven is not. It's all over the map with temperature but I'll save that research for another time.

    Ordered to test the oven temps on our GE Profile double oven range. Confirmed that the top oven was running about 13 degrees too hot and the bottom 6 degrees too cold (at 400). They have been this way since new but i just recently noticed in the GE app that you can adjust the temps for calibration so I figured I would give it a go. The thermometer works well, though it does take a while to get to temp. The first one I ordered was defective. The background behind the needle seemed warped towards to the top and the needle would actually hit it and get stuck at around 300 degrees. The replacement does not have that issue.

Nice quality, but the base isn't wide enough to stay stabilized on the oven racks. Worked out anyways, because I like the thermometer hung on the oven rack instead. Good thermometer for home cooks.

    El congelador de mi refrigerador empezó a fallar, la máquina de producir hielo no lo producía y los alimentos no estaban lo suficientemente congelados, puse unas cubetas para hacer hielo y tardaba de dos a tres días que congelara el agua. Definitivamente había un problema, pero quería saber que tan lejos de los menos (-22°C) había en el congelador y poder llamar al técnico de refrigeración para explicarle la situación. El técnico reparó el refrigerador, era problema de insuficiencia de gas refrigerante. A partir de entonces el congelador ha funcionado a la perfección, y lo mantengo permanentemente dentro del congelador. El termómetro tiene en el dial un área de color rojo que me indica rápidamente si la temperatura es adecuada (sea en el área de la nevera o del congelador). Muy buen producto y lo recomiendo para detectar rápidamente si su nevera está enfriando adecuadamente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
