I got ahold of this book before a business trip, and decided to start reading it on the plane. It immediately grabbed my attention in the first few pages - like the author was speaking directly to me and the problems I have in my business! I run a small digital marketing agency, and we've been stuck. I have been dying to get unstuck, because I was stuck at this revenue amount in a previous business, too. And I don't want to stay stuck here and die... I want my business to BREAK THROUGH and SCALE!If you're in that place with your agency, then you need to read Mandi Ellefson's book. It will help you understand exactly where you stand, and help you develop a path to scaling beyond that point. She identifies many common reasons why service companies (that's you) struggle to scale. Then she lays the foundation for scaling and helps you understand how to free up time in order to begin scaling your vision by strategically exiting certain parts of your business... until one day you can exit entirely! If that's your goal.Highly recommend this book. Get an extra copy and gift it to somebody that you know could benefit from what's inside. Then start scaling!

I found Mandi's book refreshingly clear and helpful. I actually followed up via email with the author after reading and got a truly thoughtful, insightful and actionable response. This book was unputdownable! I enjoyed this book today and hearing more stories of consulting agencies expanded my awareness to reduce risks. I agreed with many of the concepts as I benchmark myself against Mid-Senior Level Individual Contributor being open to subcontracting with a firm that has more experience to get started. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and pinpointing how to make irresistible offers that allow you to charge what your services are worth and sustainably scale your business and have the quality of life you want. As a B2B service based business, I found this book so valuable. Author Mandi Ellefson did not hold back on her expertise and I learned so much. I highly recommend reading.

For years, largely as an outgrowth of the gospel of Gino Wickman (through his book Traction and EOS), I bought into the idea that better operations, a focus on 'rocks', strong team alignment and a culture of accountability would provide the growth and success we so badly needed and wanted. I'm sorry to say that those well-meaning 'systems and processes' did nothing to actually grow the company. Finally, after seeing Mandi guest present on a webinar, I found someone who truly 'gets it' and has a clear blueprint, not just for agency growth, but agency SCALE (growing revenue/declining costs). Once I got her book, I read it as fast as I could, highlighted the daylights out of it, and am extremely excited to begin implementing as quickly as possible. I love how she lays out the perfect framework to solve more expensive problems for clients, focus sales offers on outcomes (not deliverables) and gives you the ways, means and confidence to raise your prices 2X or more. I can't wait to fully leverage what I've learned from Mandi's book to fill our agency with only exceptional, well paying, high profit clients.

I have read many books on setting up scalable systems and scaling companies, but nothing has resonated like this book. Mandi explains how to work less while increasing profits and how to position your company for a profitable exit. Mandi has worked with many companies to help them achieve these goals, so she has the results to back up her opinions.

If you are tired of working too much and having stagnant growth for your agency, this is worth a read.

I own a consulting business that is growing. This book has shown me what to expect if I want to grow it beyond my own capacity and employees that I directly supervise. A big eye-opener and I highly recommend it for any consulting business owner.

Rarely do I come across a business book that manages to pack such a wealth of valuable information into just a few hours of reading. I read the book twice already (it will only take you two to three hours to read) However, it packs a lot of information and there is no fluff.

Some key takeaways are:

- How you as a founder/CEO can scale without being involved in the business
- How you can double profits using small to medium price increases
- What the role of the CEO is
- The reasons an agency is not profitable
- How to create an enticing offer for your clients
- How to balance customization and standardization of services

Just buy the book. It is one of the best business books I've read in a long time.
