I'll start at the tips. They have a sort of cross hatch but they aren't made for (and thus aren't cut aggressively enough for) grabbing metal, which is fine, because these are meant for grabbing wire connectors and without the super sharp cuts the grip pattern should stay in pristine shape for a long time. And boy do they grab!
The jaws are angled in an interesting way but it seems to be to offer more angles of attack, even holding the handles directly parallel with the wiring which is ideal for giving them a pull and disconnecting stuff. They're held onto the tool with set screws, which opens the possibility of replacing them if they were damaged though I don't know if the company sells replacements, but if you were wanting to adjust them or modify the jaws for some reason it's easier to do that, or even make your own custom jaws!
The handles are hard plastic and have a diamond pattern grip on them which affords some reasonable grip. All in all these things are worth the money, they work great and they're easy to use.
