I bought the ethernet extension in order to give myself more freedom with my laptop. Our company does not have a good wireless connection, so connecting through the ethernet cable is the best way to stay connected. The cord is easy to connect and gives you a lot of freedom of movement. I could also see this being used in order to connect to a distant ethernet wall jack for businesses or homes. Overall, the product does what it is made for and works really well. I have had no drops in my internet connection because of this cord.

    Ugreen makes some decent quality products. They are in the budget range for sure but always seem to be well built and work well. This is no exception. I have a few of these.

    I like to use these extensions as kind of a "safety measure" for my devices. I use them on my smart TV or computer and I never remove them. If I need to remove the ethernet cable, I remove it from this extension, thus protecting my devices ethernet port and only putting stress on this extension cable.

    I initially began this practice with USB ports when I witnessed one on my desktop be destroyed after plugging in a flash drive for the hundredth time.

    Now I use short extensions to protect the life of my jacks.

    This has work fine for me and my connection never has any problems.
