. this book tells how natural hormones
(in contrast to patented modified hormones)
can dramatically improve your aging process.
. the author has a website, bhrt training academy,
where doctors can get training on bhrt
    (bioidentical hormone replacement therapy)
as that training is not provided by medical schools
and not covered by most medical insurance.
. at that same website you can ask for a provider near you,
or you can ask your pharmacist for a list of
    who is prescribing bioidentical hormones.
. the author's website, hormone makeover, has resources.
. another place training for bhrt is ifm
    (the institute of functional medicine);
eg, they have a 2024 conference called
Hormone 2024 – Functional Medicine Advanced Practice Modules (APM):
    Re-establishing Hormonal Balance in the
Hypothalamic, Pituitary, Adrenal, Thyroid, and Gonadal Axis.

"The Hormone Makeover" by Donna White offers hope and empowerment for women struggling with hormonal imbalances. It also sheds so much light on the value of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. As someone who has battled irregular cycles and autoimmune issues, I found comfort in this comprehensive guide. The step-by-step approach not only educates on hormone management but also provides practical strategies, and ways to finally address symptoms like PMS, hot flashes, brain fog, and fatigue.

As a mother, navigating PMS with a teenage daughter the insights were super helpful with that too. White's personal journey and expertise, combined with her compassionate tone, helped me understand the nuances of hormone balance and how to support my daughter through her own hormonal journey. This book is a valuable resource for any woman seeking to reclaim control over her hormone health and well-being. Thank you!

Good explanation on how hormones can affect your overall health

I certainly didn’t, but now I do, now that I read, “The Hormone Makeover” by Donna White. The information introduced to me in this book was very informative, and now I’m going to share it with my girlfriends inside and out of my book club. We’re all in our 50’s and 60’s, and we are all dealing with many of the symptoms mentioned in this book. I never attributed them to hormones. Yes, my gynecologist prescribed Estradiol cream a few years back, briefly mentioning hormone replacement, but I had no idea, when this was prescribed, what bioidentical hormone replacement was, or the benefits of it.
I was uninformed, like most of us, of the function of hormones. Well, thanks to this book, that is no longer true! It not only explained the function of hormones, some problems associated with hormone imbalance and symptoms, but it gave me alternative options from some of the medications/synthetic drugs that I have tried in the past. To start with, I’m going to ask my nurse practitioner what she knows about testing and treatment.
I also must mention that I found the information on the effects of hormones on our brain specifically fascinating since Alzheimer's Disease runs in my family. I’m just thrilled I found it, (or as in this case), it found me)…I believe it was meant to be.

At 63 and fairly healthy, I thought I had my health figured out, but "Hormone Makeover" by Donna White opened my eyes in a big way. This book isn't just another health guide—it's like having a chat with a wise friend who really knows her stuff about hormones.

The real kicker for me was the 7-Question Hormone Test in the book. Who knew answering a few questions could reveal so much about symptoms like my erratic sleep and unexplained fatigue? It turns out, these could be signs of hormonal imbalance, something I hadn't considered before.

Donna doesn’t just dump information on you; she offers a wealth of resources. I checked out some of her other suggested resources for tips and started using supplements for better sleep, which have seriously changed my nights. Plus, she’s working on a hormone cream for the skin—can’t wait for that!

"Hormone Makeover" is genuinely a bright light for anyone trying to navigate the confusing world of hormonal health. It’s comforting, informative, and very real. If you're looking around for answers to similar health puzzles, give this book a read. It might just change your life like it’s changing mine.
