I thoroughly enjoyed the Fixated Advent devotional by Chester a few years ago. When I saw there was an Easter book, I quickly snagged a copy.

While Fixated takes you through the first five chapters of Hebrews, Forgiven goes through the end of the book taking you through the season of Lent. Each day provides a short devotional that focuses on a section of scriptures. Each devotional can easily be read in a few minutes.

This is my second time going through this book, and I doubt it will be my last. I highly recommend it!

I REALLY enjoyed this book. I read it slowly, one chapter per day, and gave myself enough time to meditate on the passage of Scripture that was covered each day. Not only did this give me a desire to study the book of Hebrews in more depth, but it also enlarged my understanding of and appreciation for Jesus and all that He has done for all who put their faith in Him. This is not a commentary or in-depth study, rather it is an invitation to meditate upon the passages of Scripture covered each day so that the Holy Spirit can apply these passages to your heart and life. This is definitely a book that I will profit from by working through (reading) several times — maybe once a year. Particularly profitable for guiding a person through their Lent meditations. Tim Chester does an excellent job of priming your heart to meditate each day which will cause you to worship Jesus and and be overcome with the glory of what He has accomplished on your behalf. This is the kind of book that draws a person into the Scriptures and allows the Holy Spirit to reveal more of Christ to the reader. I enjoyed it throughly.
