The BPAULL BL-0012 lens pouch is a perfect fit for the Nikon Nikkor Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3 VR lens with hood in reversed storage position and tripod collar/foot attached. The padding feels protective - not too firm or too soft. The included removable padded ring is perfect for holding the smaller rear of the lens centered within the case limiting movement. A double zipper pull facilitates easy access and closure.
As pictured, the D-ring placement allows the shoulder strap can carry the pouch vertically or horizontally. All attachment hardware is metal. The velcro secured belt loop appears sturdy, but the one could easily thread a belt through the sewn down loop providing additional security for carrying a heavy lens (the Nikon 180-600 weights almost 4.5#). Overall, I thought this to be a much better bag than the ThinkTank offering and Nikon ships this lens with a simple cloth bag!?#@!!
