About this item
- REPAIR DAMAGED WOOD: Fills and rebuilds missing sections to help restore windows, doors, trim, columns, posts, and other elements. Permanently repairs damage caused by weather, moisture, age, and pests.
- EASY TO USE: Our wood epoxy has a 20-30 minute pot life (working time) and can be mixed and applied by hand. It can be painted, stained, drilled, carved, sawed, nailed, planed, sanded, and routed, just like natural wood.
- GREENGUARD CERTIFIED: This product contains almost no VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and does not have water or solvents. It has a low odor and is a clean, safe wood repair solution for both the user and the environment.
- NO SHRINKING OR CRACKING: This wood filler can be used for both exterior and interior repairs. It creates structural, shrink-free repairs that mimic the original wood. They bond to previously damaged substrates and are resistant to further damage by water, pests, and UV.
- ABATRON: We specialize in providing high-quality, easy-to-use, permanent building restoration products. Our items do not contain solvents and have virtually no VOCs. We are committed to offering safe products that deliver professional results.

Product Description
Permanently fill, repair, and replace missing wood indoors and outdoors on structural and decorative substrates. WoodEpox is a shrink-free epoxy putty and bonds to most surfaces. It's lightweight, has a no-slump consistency, is dimensionally stable, and can be used in any thickness or shape. It works for windows, sills, thresholds, doors, frames, shutters, columns, posts, balusters, floors, furniture, sculptures, artwork, and more. This interior and exterior wood filler can bond or bridge separated sections of wood and fill and patch substrates other than wood, including ceramics, stucco, concrete, and rigid surfaces.

As an add on to this comment I would like to stress to first time users of this product to buy the kit that contains both the liquid epoxy and the wood epoxy as both truly are needed for fine smoothing of the product when applying with a putty knife. You can use just the wood compound by itself and most times for large gaps in wood it will hold and work great but the liquid part of this stuff is the magic which gets real tacky or sticky and bonds both the original wood and the newly added Abatron wood compound for a super permanent bond. I always add enough of the liquid to the wood compound to make it more runny like a stiff pancake batter. This will allow you to force the stuff into small cracks and moderate gaps easily. Much larger missing wood gaps I use stiffer mixes of liquid to compound ratio's and if it's really large then I insert 2 x 4's etc and compound to fill and replace entire missing sections of wood. Look folks this product like any is not 100 percent perfect but it's as close as it gets. Is it going to be as good as an unrotted board....of course not but it will replace and repair missing sections and give load bearing stability no matter what some folks say. As I said I have used this product on an 1836 Greek Revival and now an 1860's Victorian and nothing out there competes with it...;)

When I purchased the product I was surprised how light the box was. When I opened it there were two separate plastic containers and I thought they had dried up because I was expecting a heavy moist product. These were very light. This product has the consistency of bread dough. I took a handful from each container and put it on a piece of plywood. One is bright white and the other is beige. With rubber gloves I just mixed the two together in my hands like kneeding bread dough until the entire mixture was all beige. Then I just started filling the holes with my fingers and thumbs and packing the mixture into the holes. I used blocks of wood to press the epoxy into the shape of the dimensional lumber this it was replacing. Everything you see in the pictures took two orders or 4 quarts.
This is a great product and I will be purchasing it again. Worth every penny and more for me.

Priming with LiquidWood (B009WCL092) is important. Don't try putting this on paint either.
