Value for Money : Could still be a little bit better for just a bit more. If the ergonomic issue was addressed it'd be an even better value at $25, or even at $30. Also, T3S only works with BT, so I really prefer this one. (See below)
Durability : Feels solid enough generally and fit and finish are good enough - seams are tight to the sight and feel (ie you can't press on the plasting and feel any give in the seams).
Connectivity : Haven't noticed lag and haven't had drop outs.
Ergonomics on Controller : Generally, YMMV. My hands have no problems using XBox style controllers on fighting games and turnb-based combat RPGs on the D-pad but anything more fast paced and my thumb isn't as comfortable stretching out to the left stick; changing where I grip it isn't all that great. This one gets around that.
Problem is the D-pad on this one while not a problem for positioning my thumb (on the D-pad or the stick) is a bit stiff and while not textured, still hinders moves on some games. Takes me all the way back to cheap PS and PS2 controllers (when I had to use my allowance) where I take a spare shirt to launch a fireball or do a jumping upper cut and such. It's not a problem on Tekken obviously but it's a PITA on Street Fighter. Grippy D-pad is never a problem on an X-Box style D-pad, but there's a reason why Sony controllers' D-pads are smooth, although the mechanism underneath the D-pad is more likely t he problem.
L-R triggers could use a bit more resistance too especially on racing games, but even the short run on mecha games makes me miss that.
Dongle : Huge, not something like my Logitech mouse' dongle that I can leave on teh laptop and only have the external keyboard hooked up to a hub. As it is now I have it on the hub too but if I take the laptop somewhere and get stuck there - ex an airport - having a flatter dongle next to my mouse's dongle would be nice.
I guess it's still great for $22 but for an improved version, even for $25 or $30, I don't want the T3S' BT wireless. If $25 I'd take more resistance on the L-R trigger; for $30 I'd like to see that plus either a slightly looser mechanism on the D-pad (plus maybe angle the buttons such that they rise a bit more towards the outer edges?) or better yet just put an X-Box style 8-direction D-pad on there. This way it gets the generally smaller PS controller form factor with both sticks in mirrored locations (which in 3D action mecha games will have both hands mirrored as well as you use the sticks, L-R buttons, and L-R triggers the most) but you don't have to put in more work making sure the mechanism works smoother.
After six months I noticed the right stick seemed to work erratically, and I confirmed it with an online controller test - the right stick would jump and bounce when moving laterally, but seemed to still be solid moving vertically. I reached out to GameSir support who suggested letting the controller fully charge overnight, and using the reset button (it's on the bottom of the controller in a small hole requiring a pin to push). Neither of those suggestions improved the situation, so the referred me to the seller MasTechBox, who immediately sent a replacement controller. The replacement is brand new in a sealed box, and works perfectly from the jump. I'm very pleased with this support and the quality of the product at such a low price. I highly recommend - and if you have any issues with yours within a year of purchase, reach out to the seller for help. At this price, if I get a year of decent gaming out of it, I couldn't be happier.

First impressions are good. They feel nice though a little light and look the part. Not as premium as a Dualshock but still good. Well packaged and not cheap looking despite the price. These are the 2.4ghz versions and not Bluetooth as I prefer that even with the huge dongle. There's a built-in battery which you'll need to use an older low-powered charger on. Otherwise, if you use a modern fast-charger you'll mess up the controller. I've had no problems with this and it takes a couple of hours to charge but seems to last me over a week of regular play.
Tested the analogue sticks on Linux Mint using jstest, and nice to see hardly any deadzone on either pad I received. Nice sensitivity and travel. This can be a real problem on cheap pads so very pleased that analogues are consistent and responsive right along the range. Neat!
Buttons are good and remind me of the Anbernic ones on my RG351P. Not that they're small, just that they're pretty good tbh. No issues with these either. Nothing getting stuck or not registering. One tip to remember is if you are experiencing inputs getting stuck or drifting is to double tap the "CLEAR" button on the pad. This clears the turbo button memory storage and I can easily see how this could cause control issues if you've accidentally saved a button combo.
I would also add that the wireless range on these is way, way superior to the Logitechs, which had a constant annoying habit of skipping inputs when the wireless dropped out of range. Even though we only have a small living room, the Logitechs would drop out all the time. These do not at all. Another win imho.
Wanted to note here that the triggers are indeed analogue and not digital, contrary to some other reviews. This is great for GameCube emulation so the proper sensitivity registers for games like Mario Sunshine. However I did note that it is very sensitive so trigger presses have to be fairly soft to get the desired response. I suspect that there will be a setting I can change in Dolphin somewhere to remedy this but I haven't explored it yet as I'm mostly OK with it as-is so far.
I had to get used to the D-pad a little going over from the Logitech. The F710 has an awesome floating D-pad which is so easy to use it feels like cheating! However on the Gamesir T3 it's more like the Sony Dualshock. Luckily it's pretty good and once I adjusted my timing a little I was able to pull off dragon punches fine in SF2 Turbo. It did take some practice for me though at first, but I think this was more to do with me hitting the L1 bumper early (for hard punch on SF2) rather than the D-pad being the issue. Otherwise for all genres this has proved trouble-free. Fab for fighters and platformers alike.
So all that remains now is durability. I'm only six weeks in and so far so good. Not a single issue. The real test will be after some months of play. The more expensive Logitechs only lasted a year and I'm not a heavy handed gamer at all so their failure surprised me. I'll be sure and update this review if these fail the long term test. Hope this helps.
SO: Over a year later, happy to report these are still going strong and have given me ZERO issues with my emulation PC's. Not a thing to report! I still maintain that people who are finding that one day they work then after charging they don't, that this is because they are using the WRONG charging devices. ANY modern fast phone charger WILL BRICK these types of third party controllers. I've been using an older slower charger for over a year now and have had no problems whatsoever. Speaks for itself imho, and with that in mind I would still absolutely recommend them.
