4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book for new runners

This is a great book for relatively new runners (like me) and clearly explains the how and why of training for distance running. An easy read, not overly complicated and extremely useful. Most of the information would not feel new if you follow Greg McMillan’s website, but I found it very useful to have it all structured in a book form. For more experienced runners, this may not be that useful, though I believe even they may get some insights from the finer points in the book. I deducted 1 star because the book does not cover strength training which I have come to realize is very important for injury prevention. But there is a lot to like here and I would definitely recommend this highly as a great introdution for new runners and those new to structured training plans.
