After a number of car thefts in our neighborhood we researched and found that thieves were using technology to connect to the key fob and magnify the signal to get into the cars. We bought these pouches and they work great. Then the key fobs are in these pouches they have no communication to/from the car. You can't even start the car when the key is inside of this pouch and inside the vehicle. We leave the pouch right by our front door and put the keys in them instead of just throwing on the table. It's big enough to hold multiple keys too. We love this and feel like our cars are more protected.

I feel safe with this product in my home. When I put my key fob in the pouch, it cannot be remotely accessed by thieves. Also, when cell phone is put into pouch, phone data and information cannot be read. The signal completely cuts off. Great purchase and great price! There are several of these to choose from, but I recommend this one.

Only one cell phone can go in the pouch at a time and you cannot put cell phone and keys in pouch at same time either. I really just use it for my key fob every night anyway.

Soon as I got this tested to see if it was working. I don’t know if this is an adequate test but here’s what I did. I put on a YouTube podcast with the volume up. I put my phone into the bag and sealed it. Within a few seconds the podcast stopped running. I remove my phone from the bad and it showed a ‘ no connection to the Internet’ message. I did this multiple times. So in my estimation, that indicated this bag works very well.

I found the bag to be easy to use, well made, attractive, and of good quality material. I would recommend this product

Why would anyone need to hide their location data from their phone? Intrigue! I was recently in a jury selection process and through it I learned that If you're signed into any google app, Google has your location and it's very accurate - especially if your phone has pinged any wifi routers nearby. They use this to provide police with a geofence, which means you may be implicated in a crime for simply being near a place where a crime took place! While many wouldn't object to the police having access to this info if it was to solve a legitimate crime, the fact remains that google, a private company, has it, and may use it for whatever purpose they see fit. It also may be lost and available to anyone who steals it / dumps it on pastebin.

I also learned that even if your phone is completely powered down, the radios are still on and are still talking to towers around it so that when you do turn the phone on it can instantly connect. The GPS receivers are always on, and are recording your location even when in airplane mode.

I also found out the Department of Defense and other government agencies have been buying location data in bulk from app developers. No one knows why they want it or what they're doing with it. This can be used to see if people were compliant with lockdowns, or for contact tracing, or to find out of you're one of those rowdy PTA people. (I'm not, promise!)

So I tested this thing out with an apple air tag. Popped my tag into the back two folds and sure enough, my device could not locate it. I told the airtag to make some noise and it couldn't get the signal through.

I put my phone in it and had my spouse text me, and the messages only came through once I opened the bag and took my phone out.

I think this bag would be great for protestors, religious folks, celebrities and other high profile people or privacy conscious people that want the option to still generate noisy data but obfuscate key data.

Geofencing is a good tool for law enforcement. I'm glad they have the ability yo use it for good, but these tools are a slippery slope which can be abused down the road. There are two ways to hide your location data - either don't use a phone, or get one of these faraday bags.
