Each of us has struggled with food, movement, rest, and body image in some way and we all have good reasons for the struggle. Eating disorders, disordered eating, “yo-yo” dieting, over-exercise, and unrealistic body image expectations are merely unhealthy and irrational ways of meeting healthy and rational needs.

In Feed My Soul, author and registered dietitian, Kristen Bunger, combines the wisdom of science, the insight of psychology, and the truth of God’s word to help you sort through the disordered thoughts and lies you may believe about food, movement, rest, and body image.

Kristen gives practical ways of obtaining peace with food and body and a greater understanding of how to take excellent care of your body and your soul. In Feed My Soul, Kristen uses the truth of scripture to point you back to Christ as the ultimate source of peace and fulfillment.

I really loved how helpful her advice was. I didn’t fit perfectly into any one story, but I know that I have issues with food and this book has made me want to look deeper into the whys of it. While I have a few ideas, I think that seeing someone and talking about things would help even more, which Kristen highly encourages! This self help book is meant to be just one tool that can help lead us onto a brighter and better path, not just for our body image health, but our mental well-being, too! I really loved how she used scripture to tie into her teachings and philosophies as well. This is a fantastic tool for anyone suffering from body image disorders, no matter where you are on the spectrum!

I have just started this book and love the way Kristen teaches, guides, prays and gently suggests how to find another way to live - eating disorder free. As someone who’s struggled with an ED for over 30 years, this book speaks to my soul. It challenges me to think deeply and while I’m still grappling with making the changes, her prayers and heartfelt knowledge remind me I’m not alone in this journey. I will keep reading and praying with Kristen as my guide as I fight for this freedom.

This is a fantastic book! Why do you think of food the way you do? Why do you think of rest and exercise the way you do? What do you think when you see yourself in the mirror? Kristen presents a better way to view all of these things and how you can change your life by changing the way you think. I loved how I could apply it to many areas of my life.

This book. It’s like giving yourself a big, long hug, from a most trusted and wise friend, who challenges you to want better for your body and soul, and gives you the keys to unlock the ability to do it. Any age, anyone, could read this and get solid gold from it. I say, if you’re going to treat yourself to something really good and long lasting, buy it.
