A very dark and violent Mafia romance. Natalia and Cristian’s chemistry is sizzling hot practically burning the pages of the book. Cristian, a man with no heart and no belief in love is challenged at every turn by Natalia. Cristian does not behave the way most of the mafia heroes go in this romance. He doesn’t instantly fall for Natalia or try to save her. He tries to use her to get to his enemies. He is totally uncaring of anything or anyone that gets in his way. He does what he wants, gets what he wants and says whatever he wants. He is a monster.
Natalia makes a deal with the monster to literally save her own life. She is smart and resourceful. She does have moments of “ what are you thinking” but for the most parts she handles things well. She is very self aware.
It was a great read. Christian’s journey from uncaring and harsh to loving Natalia. Giving in to her fun and enjoying time with her. Not to say he was less ruthless during business and handling his enemies.

Very enjoyable and looking forward to the next story

Christian is the father of her good friend and who she runs to,he hopes to use her to his advantage and get rid of her but a few dead men later,she is still with him.This story is hot,fast pace and has a few secrets and some double crosses thrown in, kept me entertained and hated to see it end and can't wait to read the second story!

Holy *insert curse word that can't be used* cow. I love me a good anti-hero book and I admit I was a bit nervous going into this one. Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely loved nearly every single book Charity has put out but she's never put out a book like this before. And what a book it was! **heed the trigger warnings as this book is on the darker side.

Mafia...mafia bosses....and all it entails is in this book and though the details are not skipped over, its also not too overly detailed. Its enough to paint the picture, but not so much as to leave you with nightmares. It also shows how far Cristian comes from being "Monster Marchetti" to "Gorgeous Monster." All domineering, alpha, totally in control with no heart until he does Cristian Marchetti. I'm not sure how she gave such a believable character as we have with him, completely ruthless in the beginning, and for a good while too, into, slowly, a man who finally learns what love is.

Natalia was a little naive in the beginning, which kinda blew my mind as she was besties with a mafia bosses daughter. Like, how did she not realize what she was getting herself into, with both Vinny first and then Cristian second? I loved how she had a backbone but learned when to push and when to not, though she had to have a couple of lessons first.

The steam on this book, whew child. Its what your expecting when dealing with an anti-hero, all power and aggression that leads to lots of O's cause danged if he is gonna come in to second best to any other man. I loved this book so much and the little bit of an epilogue that we're left with has left me dying to see what happens with Benny. Oh and Gigi, I really think she's hiding something from everyone that'll blow them all away when it comes out. I just gotta wait to see if I'm right..

“Gorgeous Monster” is not my first Charity Ferrell book. I’ve read several of her small-town romances, but this one is darker and mafia.

The story is relatively fast-paced, which I like. Natalia’s ex-boyfriend puts a h ¡t on her–– her best friend’s father, who happens to be the head of a Mafia family, steps in to provide protection. However, that protection ends up extending to marrying Natalia. Cristian is 23 years older than Natalia and is all alpha, challenging, and without emotion, especially love. He makes it clear their marriage will be a business arrangement only, and he will not be falling in love with her. Natalia, too, makes things clear with Cristian and tells him that she will not be having schm / 3x with him.

I enjoyed this different side of Charity Ferrell’s writing and will likely move on to book two.

The writing was fine from a technical standpoint. The narrators did a good job. The biggest issue though was that neither of the MCs were likable. She was a very immature shrew and he was unfeeling and cold with little redeeming qualities. He really didn’t care about her until all the sudden he did. I love a good mafia story and an antihero, but these two characters didn’t really have chemistry, despite a lot of encounters.

When Natalia breaks up with her mafia boyfriend, the last thing she expected was for him to LITERALLY want to kill her. So she seeks help from her best friend's father, who just happens to be the head of one of the biggest mafia families, Cristian Marchetti.

To begin with, Cristian is completely indifferent to Natalia, he doesn’t hesitate to hand her over to the enemies, to threaten to send her to her death, or marry her off to someone else. To him, she’s a means to an end, but little by little things change.

I thoroughly enjoyed the progression of Natalia and Cristians relationship, their chemistry and banter was top notch.

As for the characters, Cristian was an ultimate anti-hero with a dominant and possessive side. Whilst he does redeem himself, he doesn't apologise or change from the ruthless, dark filled man that he is. Then we have Natalia, who despite being in danger, had a fierceness that drew you in, she had a smart mouth and didn’t back down from Cristian. She was impulsive but had a kind heart and a naivety that gave her a wonderful softness. Together they were exactly that the other needed, and perfectly balanced each other out.

Gorgeous Monster was an extremely well written enemies-to-lovers romance, it had a fantastic array of emotion, wit, banter, chemistry, stream and in the end, love, the Mafia element was packed with action that led to an thrilling and compelling page turner.
