How did we get our start?
When our school got a 3D Printer, our son became obsessed with it. However, he would often complain that most of his prints would break or not print right. When we finally got our own 3D printer, we tried several brands. Yet, we noticed that the quality wasn’t that good. So we decided to fix it.
Why do we love what we do?
We love how close 3D Printing has brought our family together. Now, we all work together to create and design our new products like flexible PLA , wood PLA, Rainbow PLA, PETG, Silk PLA, 3D Pen PLA refills , Matte Black PLA Plus & Filament Storage Bag.

Flexible PLA 3D Printer Filaments :
We strive to provide the best quality products and support. We offer wide variety of 3d printer filaments like Flexible Filament, PETG , Polished PLA, Wood PLA, Rainbow milticolor PLA, Silk PLA, PLA PLUS ,Silk Tri-color PLA, Silk PLA, Macaron Rainbow , Storage Bag V2 & 3d Pen PLA filaments Refill.
IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND FLEXIBLE PLA (FPLA) CHEMISTRY:
Flexible PLA is primarily made out of polylactic acid. Flexible PLA Filament is very soft and flexible in nature. Due to this nature they can be bend 6 times more then any regular PLA.
Q) If its pulled out very hard from Spool , if the friction is very high- the diameter of filament may change from 1.75mm and it can become thinner to as much as 1.65mm.
What are the alternatives?
A) If the Filament is stretched for any reason like blockage, stuck in Extruder etc. that portion of the filament is permanently deformed & cannot come back to its original shape. It is recommended to cut the stretched portion of the filament & start with the new string from the roll. All our Flexible PLA goes through special Auto Winding process & Quality control check to maintain their chemical properties intact and maintain 1.75mm diameter.
Q) Moisture absorption resistance of FPLA+ Filament
· Since Flexible PLA+ (FPLA+ ) comes from the PLA family and since it is soft, it will easily absorb moisture. To help the Customer maintain in dry stage, Ataraxia Art has provided each filament reel with its latest V2 Vacuum bag which can easily store two filament reels. We strongly recommend that the filament be kept in the vacuum bag immediately after its use and not be kept outside. · If the humidity in the filament persists, it is recommended to dry the filament at 50 deg C for 2 to 3 hours and then use it for best results.
Tips for Minimizing Adhesion to the Build Plate in FPLA Printing:
- Opt for a smooth plate instead of a textured one to reduce adhesion.
- Increase the nozzle-to-plate distance to a range of 0.3-0.4mm, as the standard 0.2mm spacing tends to result in stronger adhesion.
- Print the initial 4-5 layers of your model on the plate. After completion, heat the plate to 90 degrees to facilitate easy removal of the model.
3D Printer Flexible PLA Filaments Spool :
- Recommended Extrusion/Nozzle Temp: 190°C - 220°C (374℉~ 428 ℉) * Heated Bed Temp: 0°C - 40°C (32℉~ 104℉)
- Printing Speed 40-80mm/S * Diameter: 1.75mm
- Dimensional Accuracy 98% Probability +/- 0.03mm * Filaments Net Weight: 1 kg (2.2 lbs)
- Density = 1.21-1.30 g/cm3 * Melting Point 132°C
Features and Benefits from Flexible Soft and Strong PLA Filaments :

Tips & Solution To Print Flexible PLA
Issue 1) The Filament is adhering a lot. This stuff adheres too well to textured PEI treated beds. The bottom layer is difficult to remove and stretches leaving a white colored texture on the print.
Solution 1) Ataraxia Art recommends using PVB globe in the plate or lower the print temperature to 180C to 190C. You can also use a small layer of baby powder on the bed as well.
Issue 2) The FPLA is stringing and oozing.
Solution 2) Stringing is related with Nozzle size and moisture absorption.
Nozzle Size: Some printers can print Flexible PLA (FPLA) very well with 0.4 mm Nozzle size. However most Extruders are designed to print hard Filaments like PLA, PETG and ABS hence they cannot print flexible Filament like FPLA or TPU very well. Ataraxia Art recommends to use a 0.5 or 0.6 mm nozzle size. Nozzle temperature is recommended to be kept at 190 to 200 deg C.
Filament Dryness: Ataraxia Art recommends to ensure that the filament is kept dry devoid of any moisture absorption. Immediately after use please keep the filament in the Vacuum bag provided by us. If possible dry the filament to 50 to 60 deg C before use.
Issue 3) Priting issue with bowden extruder.
Solution 3) The melting point of fpla is 135 deg C and it start becoming softer at 55 deg C. The printer may have cooling system issue while heating the nozzle and the high temperature will go up too along with heating the nozzle and try to trasfer the heat to filament. So once the filament is heated, please open the fan to make the motor cool and do not let the heating transfer to the filament.
Issue 4) Does FPLA works with Bambu Lab Printer?
Solution 4) Step 1, Select Bambu lab TPU filament parameter. Step 2, Change the printing temperature to :200-210℃. Step3, Max volume speed: 3.6mm³/s. Fan: Model 70%; Printer: 70-100% Important: Please Keep the door open until printing finish.

Update.... i ordered a replacement because the first one got stuck. the second one printer beautiful. i am updating my review to 5 stars. the seller did reach out at least so they do care about their customers.
Print setting wise, I have had my best luck at 190C nozzle, 35C bed, 0.2mm layer height, 1mm retraction at 30mm/s, and 40 mm/s print speed, 100mm/s travel speed, and jerk settings set very low. I am using a 4mm nozzle on Titan direct drive extruder setup. Due to it's flexibility, if the print has any height to it at all, I found that until I reduced the travel and jerk settings, I was getting really odd banding showing up in the print toward the top layers (from where the print itself would flex and vibrate). I also recommend using at least a minimum of 75% part cooling fan, otherwise it has a real tendency to sag along the edges and the results are, well, creepy looking. At these settings, stringing was pretty minimal though there were still a few surface defects, but they were easily cleanable during post processing.
One big thing to know about this filament though is how hygroscopic it is. This stuff absolutely LOVES to absorb moisture in very large quantities (honestly, even the nylon filament I use doesn't absorb water as much). When I first opened it (and it had a good vacuum seal on the bag) and went to use it, there was steam coming out of the hotend and actual beads of water running down the filament coming out of the nozzle. I have NEVER seen filament that actually dripped water out of it before. After popping it in my filament dryer at 65C for about 4 hours, it printed pretty well, but not fantastic, and by the end of a 12 hour print, it had absorbed enough moisture again to be obviously affecting print quality and making occasional popping noises. So, I put it back in the dryer and left it at round 65C for 12 hours. After that the print quality was great and I was able to complete a 12 hour print without any headaches, though on my next print it started to get a few minor moisture related defects showing up toward the end.
Essentially, if you do not have a filament dryer of some kind, do not even think about bothering with this. It simply will NOT work unless you are able to keep it dry. Also realize that you are going to need to dry it repeatedly between printing or, preferably, keep it in a dry box with desiccant or something like an Easdry style dryer WHILE you are printing.
So, this is really nice filament with some really good properties, but just be aware of its moisture issues.
As a side note, the filament storage bag that comes with it is really well made and was a very nice addition to go with filament.
