    These prayers will knock your socks off! and not only that, having the Greek text on the facing page is so great. So handy. The prayers will lift you and bring you peace! Thank you for the great resource. My only complaint is the giant price tag / indentification sticker on the outside cover that once peeled off leaves a sticky patch that hopefully will not ruin the cover. But besides that. This book is a must have and I shall provide all of my god children with one.

    I am grateful for this book, mainly because it is bilingual in Biblcal Greek/Modern English, and there aren't many available. It is very useful when learning biblical Greek. The text of the Greek is in biblical greek, the text of the English is modern. Unlike the King James English used in the very popular blue Prayer Book published by the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Monastery in Brookline, Massachussetts; "You, Yours, You are" is used in this blingual book rather than "Thou, Thine, Thou art".

    It has Morning & Evening Prayers, Service of Six Psalms, Small Compline, Prayers before Meals, and the Preparation Before and Thanksgiving prayers for Communion. The font of the text itself is easy to read and there is good contrast of of text on the page, the pages are sturdy and it has a very thickly glued spine. Should be quite durable.

    I love that they formatted most of the text into a very readable format: the Psalms are typed out line by line, as are also the Our Father, the Odes, the Creed, etc, similar to how you'd see it in the bible or a church service book. This is great because it lends itself easily to the rhythym of how they are read out loud. Unfortunately, the texts to the prayers from Saints and Doxologies are formatted as one paragraph for each piece of text. For example, the Doxology is all one giant paragraph, as are the prayers to the Theotokos and Jesus Christ in small compline, and in prayers of the Saints for the Prayers of Preparation and Thanksgiving Prayers for Communion - and one of St Basil's Prayers is several pages long. It's a beautiful prayer, but it would be more readable to format these into manageable sizes which reflect the rhythym of how it is spoken, like they did with the Psalms, Creed, the Our Father, Odes, etc. So, I tend not to use the Prayers in Communion Prayers. :(

    Nonetheless, it is a gem of a book, and invaluable for learning in the Greek Orthodox church, since they use biblical Greek in their services. I really wish that it came in Hardcover so that I can put a ribbon in its spine to be able to mark the beginnings of a section of prayer. (I do this with all my prayer books, it doesn't fall out that way, and I can mark more than 1 section.) I also wish they also had this book for Vespers!
