I wanted to try another variety after finishing off my tube of Apagard Premio. I must say that even though I'm not a kid, I really like this toothpaste. The tubes are very small (like a bottle of lotion one might keep in a purse) but you don't need to use much because of how well it foams. The consistency is soft, somewhere between a gel and paste.
I know a lot of people were confused about the flavor, so let me clarify. This is Ramune flavored toothpaste which is a type of sweet Japanese beverage. It's very, very mild in flavor and can be mistaken for bubblegum. So if you enjoy bubblegum flavor you might like this better than other Apagard formulas. Again, very mild flavor - it is not a punch in the face bubblegum flavor like American kids toothpaste!
The active ingredient in this toothpaste is called nanohydroxyapatite and it is a wonderful alternative to flouride. I have a flouride allergy and have struggled for years to find a good substitute. Japanese toothpaste has been a game changer for me! Nanohydroxyapatite has helped significantly with my tooth sensitivities and does not cause the painful rashes on my gums that flouride does. So this would be an excellent option for children or those with more sensitive mouths.
Overall, I highly recommend this toothpaste. I hope someday they make this particular formula in a slightly larger tube!

I realize this is what gives them the foam they enjoy, but there are gentler alternatives out there. I think eventually I will order a different brand, but keep these for travel (due to small size). The cost for this does not seem fitting for something so tiny, but then I also realize this is a Japanese product.Overall, it cleans effectively, but with the size, cost, and ingredients (SLS)...
