These are all patterns that work here in North and Northwest Washington State. Many the same that we have been using, but some new or at least modified.

this is one of the classic fly tying books; for anyone who fly fishes, haig-brown is the man to read

Wonderful book, unfortunately the publishers did a horrible job printing the colour photographs of some beautiful flies. Too bad, otherwise a great resource for those interested in historic BC patterns.

This book is everything you would want it to be. If you love classic flies tied in a traditional way, with passages about they're history and fishing uses, you need this book. The cover drew me in, it's so tempting. Haig Brown flies, beautiful pictures, I love this book. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

A fantastic account of what is needed in BC, though not sure how applicable it could be to other regions.
