About the author

Fifi Flowers, an internationally known artist turn author from the Los Angeles area of California, writes romance novels and paints fantasies with a whimsical Parisian flair while daydreaming of her time spent sipping café crème in the cafés of Paris.
She penned her love of Paris and romance to the pages of her first novel, A Window To Love, published in 2013, when she sat down, and instead of putting paint to paper, put her pen to paper and began her first novel. Since that first novel, Fifi has self-published several contemporary romances.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2016An intriguing story that kept me turning the pages!
The author did a great job of explaining the characters and why they did what they did.
The Dual POV was well done.
Émile and Avril are charming and complex and dynamic.
Now I want to go to Paris and have my own cobblestone romance!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2017Enjoyed the settings in Paris and South of France. Erotic thought-provoking romance story of french, handsome generational book store owner and gorgeous and sensual american rare book collector. Very pleasant ambience and gradual falling in love. HEA.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2016I really love Fifi Flowers style and stories. Easy, fun, and informative reading with lots of naughtiness! Fifi real does a great job researching data for her books. I'm constantly on the watch for the next book. They're mini travel logs with spice!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2016I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.
This book is flirty, sexy, and oh so hot! I loved the concept of the story, specifically the incorporation of and connection the characters have with the cobblestone book. I enjoyed reading the parallel love stories.
I instantly felt a connection with Avril. She has a similar love - cough, obsession - for books. I liked Avril and Emile's first encounter. The misunderstanding between them is fabulous. I love how he made incorrect assumptions about her based on the books she was collecting for her client, and then she in turn believes the same about him. That moment when the truth comes to light is perfect. Emile was seriously confused. But once they finally connected after learning the truth, it was like they were soul mates brought together from a former life. Their similarities and old world styles were on point, as well as their mutual love for certain sexual proclivities.
I'm a huge fan of Fifi Flowers. I've read and loved all of her books. The lower rating for this one was mainly due to my inability to connect with Emile and the lack of dialogue between the characters. The author spent way too much time in their heads. I hated the lack of communication on both sides, but I especially struggled with Emile's constant shutting down and running away. What did he think was going to happen? A woman like Avril wasn't going to wait around forever. In the end, Emile redeemed himself, and I enjoyed the ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2016When I started reading this book I thought to myself, will I like it? I thought the story would be similar to the ones that I had previously read and of course I was so so wrong. I loved it because it's unique, it's simply perfect. I love the way Fifi Flowers writes, I love the attention to detail she puts into each scene, I love the fact that I get to know other countries without having left my living room and love to feel that I am part of the story.
Falling in Paris is the second volume from the "Encounters" series and just like the first one its simply amazing.
This is the story of Émile and Avril, the whole book is switched between their point of views.
Avril is one that doesn’t want to commit to anything, loves to travel and loves to read. She was abandoned by her mother when she was a baby but the love of her grandparents gave her strength to be the determined woman she is today
Émile is the womanizer, for him there is no place in his life for a relationship, he just have time for casual encounters, one night only hook ups. All this is due to his grandfather and I say no more because otherwise I will reveal the story and that I do not do.
One day they meet and the story takes a completely different direction that they were waiting.
Can you feel a fatal and carnal attraction by a person you just met? Is the desire for real, or just lust?
The hot scenes in this book are exciting, engaging. Desire is visible in every word you read and will make you feel thing in a way that I can't explain.
There were parts of the book that I was so upset with the characters and i seriously wished I could enter the book and hit them.
Why is it that we only realized how much people are important to us when they go away? Why is it that only we value love when we lost it?
I loved this book and I am looking forward to the next in this series. Until then I leave you with this question:
Is there really a soul mate for each of us? Is there true love?
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2016Fifi Flowers’ Falling In Paris takes you on a journey that is Oh so romantic and absolument magnifique! I love both of the previous books in her Encounters series but I do believe this is by far my favorite. Such gorgeously descriptive writing! I felt the cobblestones under my feet, smelled the fragrance of coffee and freshly baked baguettes, and even imagined myself sipping wine at an outdoor cafe as this delicious story unfolds. And what a story! The discovery of a rare book about a long ago, forbidden love is the impetus for this modern day romance.
I adored Avril. She has my dream job; operating an online book business, jetting off to various cities searching for antique books for her clientele of bookshops, antique stores, and private collectors. She embraces every aspect of her job, especially the travel. Most especially spending time in seductive, romantic Paris. It is so fitting that Avril’s wardrobe consists entirely of vintage chic. She and Émile are the perfect match! The sexy, inscrutable, and gorgeous bookshop owner also has a penchant for vintage attire, which dials up his sex appeal to scorching hot. When Émile rescues Avril from a tumble on the cobblestones, their chance encounter leads to intensely erotic dates where Avril’s fantasies are fulfilled.
Beautifully choreographed and deeply sensual, Falling In Paris is a decadent feast of a romance with its elegant writing, enchanting characters, and captivating story. Avril and Émile will steal your heart and have you dreaming of your own trip to Paris.
