my mobility scooter uses 4-- 12v 22ah batteries making it 48volts total. i use it a lot and can run my battery down in 4 hours of running it about as fast as it goes 15MPH. added a second set of batteries and this switch so I can choose battery set #1 or #2 or Both and its perfect Ican now last all day or up to 75 miles. very happy with the knob and is easy to install easy to switch batteries. Nice to have. Works perfect and will last for years.

This is the third switch I have purchased. Each for a different application. They work very well, allow you to operate one battery or the other, or both if you desire. Most importantly you can disconnect your batteries when not in use.
My only complaint is the same with each one I have installed. Due to their compact nature connecting the wires is difficult due to the tight space. If you are using good size cables and connectors you will need to bend the connectors at a sharp angle to get them to fit. This can make it difficult to tighten the nuts on the switch post.

I assumed these were 3/8” terminals but they’re not, probably my fault for not reading the listing fully.

The A and B terminals are too close together for the older 3/8” copper lugs I have already crimped on but that’s not very damning since this switch is meant for 5/16” ones. This puts the A and B lugs either very close together or actually touching so that’s a no-go.

The 3/8” lugs I used are from an order made several years ago before manufacturers started slimming them down to save costs. The new lugs ordered from here are narrow enough to possibly fit them without shorting but are just slightly too short to fit in my anvil crimper. They’ll still crimp and work but it’s annoying.

Also the A and B terminals come out on the top with the common output terminal on the bottom which is backwards from what I want. This too is hardly damning, just inconvenient for me.

I’ll be going with my first approach of separate single-pole switches with 3/8” terminals and plenty of room to route the wires exactly the way I want.

- the On Off writing is tiny.
- this device won't work with 2/0 AWG lugs and higher as the cutouts don't accommodate. I would say you may even have trouble with 1/0 AWG lugs. No way could i get the 2/0 lugs to fit and i tried each of the 4 cutouts. How pathetic is that???

I have ordered other similar switches from Amazon and they accommodate the LUG size above ok.
