VAMPLIERS Technology utilizes a patented design with arch-lined vertical and horizontal serrations that leads down the inside of the jaws to the tip of the pliers. The serrations inside the jaws bite into the screw head, generates high friction and enables you to twist out any stripped or rusted screws without slippage. Works on low-profile dome heads and Torx screws.
Multipurpose Heavy Duty Gripping Linemans Pliers for removing any stripped/damaged/rusted large screws, stubborn fasteners, and specialty screws such as Dome, Truss, Torx or Pan head screws: dia. 0.12" to 0.59" (3 to 15mm), and for gripping, twisting, bending and cutting wire, cable, and small metalwork components.

Te steel is so hard on these, If they don't loosen your stuck bolt/screw they'll easily rip its head off lol , so be careful. It's truly high carbon so keep the pliers away from moisture by oiling them often, maybe after every use to be extra safe. The cheaper versions of screw extractor pliers from other brands use stainless steels, which is cheaper so they won't rust as easily but they aren't nearly as good for grabbing the bolt/screw heads because the cheaper pliers might be Less hard than the bolt/screw so the pliers teeth will get ruined. Also these pliers are from Japan and the cheaper stainless pliers are made in China.

This is my 2nd pair. First pair I got 2 years and 9 months ago. Bolth are pictured.
I use them for concrete work as linemen pliers. I am hard on them.

The rubber handle coating started to fail. First the handle liners slipped off, so I epoxied them back on. Then they stared to tear so I taped them with hockey tape. I like the extra grip anyway.

Any other pliers would also have issues with their handles after being abused over a long period of time.

They also work well at gripping screws. I would highly recommend these.

Take a while to break in, they come stiff. The edge of the blade rolled over while cutting 10/3, heat treat is inconsistent, now the pliers are very stiff when opening and closing where the rolled edges are catching on each other. Was hoping these would be as good as Marvel VA pliers.

These are amazing pliers. They work great to remove fasteners with stripped heads, and are an excellent all around plier, my favorite. They are one of three tools I grab for almost any project. I've built over two miles of net wire fence using these. They are great for grabbing wire or fasteners from any position or orientation. When new, they glide open and closed and are a joy to use. BUT when exposed to even a minimal damp environment for any length of time they rust and seize, making them unusable. The rust is too severe for simple lubrication (e.g., machine oil, WD-40, penetrating oil, etc). The only thing I've found that restores them to near new function is a half hour with valve grinding compound. These would be perfect if the metal were more like whatever Knipex uses in their amazing compound cutters. I've had the Knipex cutters alongside the Vampliers building fence and doing assorted other projects for over a year. The Knipex cutters are near perfect, no rust after a year's use while the Vampliers have had to be compounded twice. If these weren't so good otherwise they wouldn't be worth the trouble of keeping them rust free or getting them working again after being in a damp environment. Overall, even with the one drawback, I highly recommend these.

Although I have only used these a couple of times for their advertised purpose (damaged screw extraction) I am very pleased. Due to the way the teeth are cut into the jaws of the pliers, they are able to securely grab damaged screw heads and facilitate their removal. Particularly with smaller screws (where getting a grip is more the issue, rather than overcoming the tightness of the screw) they can save a lot of time and aggravation. Compared to traditional screw extractors (where you have to drill a hole and then insert a left hand threaded extractor) these are far easier to use and have a higher success rate. The pliers feel like a quality item and fit my hand well. Definitely recommended to have in your toolbox even though they are a bit pricey compared to other hand tools.
