Volume II of Uniqueness explores the intersection of individuality and psychopathology of being and being human.

What makes one unique among others?
How do
uniqueness (individuality of being), psychopathology (disruption, distress, suffering) and ontological health (resilience, wellbeing, happiness, compassion) mutually reflect each other?
How does
transformation of uniqueness and psychopathology work?

Chapter I presents a re-formulation of some of the key ideas introduced in Volume I.
First, a new topographic model of
uniqueness of being, as a tetrahedron anchored in four registers of one’s BODY-CONSCIOUSNESS-LOCATION-PERSON, its fifteen regions and corresponding internal / interpersonal states (i-states) are explored in terms of their role in daily life and in the formation of psychopathology. New, emergent regions of oneness (qualia), biophysicality, corporeality, embodiment (of location / consciousness / person), meta-location, mutuality (intersubjectivity), collective consciousness (consensual reality), phenomena, ipsocentric mirroring (mentalization), meta-consciousness, locality, translocality (virtuality) and meta-location are introduced and discussed in terms of their contributions to the formation of individual uniqueness, health and psychopathology.
Different aspects of individuality and uniqueness of being –
personality (neurocognitive endophenotype), the Self (aggregated auto-representation) and the I / I am (phenomenal subject / agent) along with the inherent fragmentation (incongruence, conflictedness) of i-states within the BLCP tetrahedron are analyzed in terms of their contribution to the formation of perspectival positionality of psychopathology as subjective symptoms, interpersonal signs and academic markers.
The latter part of Chapter I is dedicated to special issues in psychopathology.
Disruptions of the here-and-now, relevance, participation and dis-association are introduced and explored as the fundamental constitutive aspects of psychopathology.
Ipsocentricity (“narcissism”; “self-centeredness”), ipsocentric desire (perversion), ipsocentric acts (auto-soothing, auto-harm, suicide) and ipsocentric positions (affirmation, dis-association, perversion, abuse, auto-erasure) are re-examined in terms of their contribution to human suffering and the formation of specific symptoms, signs and markers of psychopathology.
Chapter 2 addresses uniqueness of being and
transformations of psychopathology including (i) changes in the spatiotemporal formation (intergenerational epigenetics, associative integration, formation / positionality of the “I”, homeostatic regulation and intersubjective relatedness); (ii) changes of the relative / perspectival position of symptoms, signs and markers and (iii) changes in the disruptive relation to one’s health and resilience within the new (AAR) model of ontological health (adaptation, actualization, realization).
Biological, psychological, systemic and alternative approaches to treatment are re-examined and their diverse roles in the transformations of one’s uniqueness and psychopathology are explored.
The second part of Chapter 2 is focused on special issues in treatment including (i) new
Analysis of Uniqueness, (ii) changes in the perspectival positionality of consciousness, (iii) the role of the “here-now” and transcendent (natural, neutral) participation, (iv) alterity, jouissance and sexuality (perspectival positionality of gender and sexual orientation) and (v) perspectival and ontological severity of psychopathology.
