Playing with a controller is no easy feat, especially on a PC where many controls have been culled to accommodate keyboard and mouse players. Fresh out of the box, the controller is a bit ridgid, but shortly thereafter they shift gears and become more pliable. The design and feel are almost the same as the Microsoft Wired Controller with tactile buttons and stick movements, but include a few, hidden extras.
Extras come in the form of three programmable paddle buttons underneath, as well as a convenient roller-rocker volume adjustment (see pic) just between the D-pad and right stick. The volume adjustment makes the controller have a bit more value added. The grip feels silicon-based and adds stability to most butterfingers. Another brilliant addition is the Share button which allows you to capture video or screenshots of in-game play, but currently doesn’t have software established for PC players. (Some may consider this less than a bonus, but in my eyes, I bought it for the controller and speed of play.)
The “dead zones” for many FPS games are really accurate, and I find myself enjoying this heavily in Call of Duty and Rocket League.
One of the best features is that the cord is completely detachable. As such, the input is “break-away” and the USB-Micro B port is recessed and protected from snapping off in all directions, unlike the wireless Microsoft controller inputs. The USB chip inside is fast and responsive, cutting down on lag when you press triggers or press buttons. The triggers do tend to be a bit touchy, as only 1/10th of the way will fire a CX-9 or Sykov in a game like Call of Duty, but who really wants to not have that kind of access in the heat of battle on something like Shipment (inside CoD joke)?
As for the volume issues others are experiencing, I have had no issues, but usually I am connected through a different port, so I cannot relate well here. I bought a controller to be… well, a controller, not an audio pass-through. A bit over the cost of the Microsoft wired at $40 compared to Microsoft’s $25 (MSRP), this controller is well-worth the purchase and highly-recommended.

The controller is a comfortable fit for my broad hands, comes with two or three 'advanced mapping buttons' on the undersides (which I have no games fancy enough to use with, so can't rate them), and a volume control for your headphones (I use this feature frequently, and am now positively spoiled by it; I'd never want to go without again).
I am a fairly casual Xbox user; the system is typically lucky if I pull it out once a month to do updates, interspersed with perhaps a couple weekends or occasional holiday-week of reasonably-heavy usage (multiple sustained hours per day). Under these conditions, my controller has held up well, though in 2023 the left joystick developed a 'right drag' that can sometimes be corrected by swirling the stick around several times. The headphone port does occasionally malfunction, and voice quality is extremely bad with old-ish games (though maybe that's my not-fancy headset, or the game's audio quality to begin with).
Considering I've never seen a Microsoft Xbox controller sold for less than $60, it's probably a good buy.
Yes, you heard me: about 3 months.
This is my THIRD PowerA controller this year alone. Originally I bought a plain purple one to replace my worn out controller from another company, based on price alone. It was very inexpensive by comparison to other models on the market ... and I soon found out why. Three months later the left joystick developed a slight "drift" which got so bad in a week's time I was forced to replace the unit. Initially I used the 4-direction pad instead but it stopped working as well.
Thinking maybe this was just a "one-off" and a poor specimen, I bought the exact same model for a replacement -- and the exact same problem developed after three months of use. This time the drift spread to the right joystick as well, and once the drift started, both sticks became impossible to use properly within a week.
This particular present model -- with the lightning designs rather than solid purple -- is my third time purchasing this unit. At this point trying to save a few dollars has cost me the same amount as it would have cost to buy a new unit from a more reliable brand/company name which would have lasted at least 2 years. If this present unit craps out on me in 3 months I'll be doing just that instead, and this company will not be getting any more of my money.
If the company would like to make this overtly planned obsolescence right by me, I'll take 2 refunds for the first two ordered. This last one is entirely on me as I knew better by the time I bought it (again, just to save a bit) but it took 2 tries to get a clue.

O ruim é que após 1 ano de uso provavelmente você terá drift, mas isso ocorre com todos os controles. Na faixa de preço deste não existe melhor.
