If death is an end, then I know for certain there is nothing final about it.

This was an easy read and interesting perspective on spirituality. I appreciated how she covered her extremely religious upbringing and parents and showed how she shifted away from that path. All her claims about what happens when we die match up to countless other NDE books and podcasts ive read/listened to. Thank you so much for sharing your story! Now i need to decide if i want to keep my copy or donate to my little library on my street so others could have a chance :)

In the simplest terms, You Are Deathless is an honest account of a near-death experience, a protracted and arduous journey to personal enlightenment, and the seemingly ever-elusive realization of what one is meant to contribute to the world. But it is so much more than that. It is a remarkable story of both physical, mental, and emotional pain brought on by an unfortunate accident, a variety of lessons learned once the full memory of trauma emerged, and perseverance through a myriad of personal struggles that the author overcame to discover not only how to live a fulfilled and purposeful life but to love herself, and in doing so allow herself to be loved fully for who she is.

If you think that this means a boring sob story or a tirade of vitriol and blame, you couldn’t be more wrong. Her story is told in a factual and thought-provoking manner that is objectively supported by medical and scientific literature and spiritual references. It presents numerous “lessons learned” that will apply to many individuals. I assure you there is something in her story for everyone. Even if you just want to know, “Do we go on after death?” I saw several things in her story that I could relate to, even though I have never had an NDE. I could also see why my mother felt a life-long connection with Nicole, different from other of my friends. (Full disclosure - Nicole and I have been friends since childhood.) And I gained a remarkable appreciation for what Nicole has endured in her lifetime, the vast majority of which I was unaware until she shared with me when I visited her in Hawaii. She put on a good front for a long time, but behind the face was someone struggling mightily.

I’m a Christian and a scientist, so I really appreciated Nicole’s approach to her writing. The intertwining of her personal story and personal revelations with her spiritual upbringing and the science (neuroscience, psychology, etc.) around near-death experiences was perfectly balanced and beautifully told. Nicole has persevered through what most of us would say is unimaginable personal anguish that she rarely let show. Until now.

The layering of the personal story with an objective evaluation of the available scientific literature and her spiritual beliefs and spiritual transformation makes this a quick and engaging read. Her story is a positive account of long-suffering and healing (despite what we think, we are stronger than we know) and also confirmed for me what I have always believed as a Christian – that life doesn’t end. We do go on after death. And knowing both of those things, we can live intentionally, and authentically and realize the full happiness that this knowledge brings.

I started reading this book the afternoon I received it & I couldn’t put it down until I finished it that night. I never knew all this & I am related to the author. I am so thankful you survived Nicole & made it this far to tell your story. I had no idea. The truth needs to be known to those who love & care for someone especially when something as tragic as this happens to them & no one should judge anybody for anything. No one. This book is so well written that I had a hard time putting it down once I began reading it. I am a Mental Health Therapist who helps others recover from trauma. Nicole leaves us with many wonderful messages including letting go of the fear of death and dying as she describes her NDE experience; that even long after the pain of a traumatic event, there can be healing to do and not expecting yourself to "just get over it" because it was long ago; how our earliest exposures to religious beliefs can cause us pain and suffering; how our parents greatly shape the decisions we make; and how emotions can continue to "fire" long after a traumatic event. She also offers the revelation of Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) and the promise it has to assist in regulating our emotions and form new and healthier neural pathways for healing. In today's world, anxiety and fear are at an all time high, and we need these types of breakthrough therapies to assist us. Her mission is clear -- to bring hope to all who struggle with the idea that death is the end. We have the opportunity while reading this book to see death in a "new light" -- and Nicole offers hope for all of us to have peace about it. Ironically, accepting death helps us to embrace living in a new way -- without fear. I highly recommend this book.
