In addition to her writing, she is a certified life coach and Reiki healer, dedicated to teaching others about personal growth and energy healing. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has inspired many through her art and holistic practices. Now based in Estepona, Spain, she is also the owner of the Boab Tree Restaurant, a vibrant cultural space that blends her passion for community, creativity, and well-being.
Initially, Anissa Mendez created the *Masters of Energy* book series to help her own children navigate the growing pains and fears they encountered in daily life. From anxieties about the dark to the challenge of making new friends, these stories empowered her children with tools for emotional resilience. Seeing how the characters and chakra lessons positively impacted her own family, Anissa expanded her mission to reach children around the world.
