This is book 3 in the Almond Bay Series, a complete stand alone, but I recommend the other books as you’ll get more background on the Rowley family and their journeys to find love.
There are not enough words to describe how much I loved this book, with big brother of the Rowley family and single dad, Ryland, finally finding his HEA. He meets Gabby Brinkman as a one night stand and it’s definitely NOT a smooth beginning. A one night stand that turns into a strained work relationship, lots of laughs, awkwardness and then. . . much more. Gabby becomes everything he’s always needed even when he didn’t know exactly what that was.
This story. . . there will be tears. Not sad tears. Sweet, emotional, melt your heart tears. And the epilogue? Well grab an entire box of tissues. Oh and WOW is this a steamy book! WHEW 🔥🔥🔥
I loved every text chain between Ryland and his sisters Hattie and Aubree - Hattie and Aubrey’s stories are in the first 2 books in this series. Don’t miss them. These conversations are funny, sweet, just everything.
Little Mackenzie, “Mac”, will steal your heart more than once and Ryland struggling to be the best father he can be to his niece, well, it’s so heartwarming and leads to some laugh out loud moments too.
Then there’s Gabby’s best friend, Bower, who is a welcome addition to the Almond Bay crowd.
And Gabby. A determined young woman, a fighter her entire life, never had it easy, and a fierce supporter of her younger brother’s baseball career. She struggles to overcome her past demons as she finds she relates to Ryland’s ghosts and insecurities. They couldn’t be more perfect for each other.
Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York give an outstanding duet narrative performance. I highly recommend the audiobook.

This story is perfect. I’ve wanted Ryland’s story since book 1 & could not have anticipated the full gamut of emotions Meghan Quinn gave me.Did i cry? Yes.Was it super spicy since the beginning? Also yes.Do we get to see all our favorite almond bay couples? Of course.The banter between our MCs is top tier as one expects from a Meghan Quinn book but it’s Ryland’s dialogue (literally everything that he says & thinks) that had me laughing out loud.🎧 Listening to the audiobook in duet narration by Sebastian York & Samantha Brentmoor brought Ryland & Gabby to life. Absolute perfection.This story is about Ryland Rowley, small town high school baseball coach & single guardian to his young niece. He has one steamy night with Gabby, a woman he thought was passing through. Gabby, in town for a job interview that didn't go well, never thought she'd see Ryland again either. Turns out, she got the job - as Ryland's assistant coach. And that apartment she found - Ryland is her landlord. Forced together, they try to maintain boundaries but saying they'll keep things professional & doing it are much harder than either of them thought...This is spicy (like immediately - no slow burn here), heartwarming, hilarious - Gabby & Ryland go head-to-head trying to fight off their feelings for each other. It's a battle they don't win & despite Ryland trying, he can't seem to stay away. Both of them have baggage but their romance breaks down their walls & seeing them support each other really tugged at my heartstrings. Also must give a huge shoutout for the bond with Ryland's niece Mac. Ryland's relationship with her is so beautiful (hello "Uncle Dad") & the way Gabby takes to Mac as if she was her own... just get your tissues ready.This might just top my favorites of Meghan Quinn's. Both of these characters have rich backgrounds, wonderful supporting family characters & it's just such an entertaining read. I didn't want it to end.
